SciTECH, hosted by Millennium Point, is coming to Birmingham this June 2024!

This FREE event is all about science and technology careers and will feature workshops, educational stage shows and interactive activities for your students to explore. Students will get the chance to talk to professionals in different fields of technology and science and learn all about the types of careers they could be a part of in the future.

This event is for students in Year 5, 6, 7 & 8 (Primary upper & Secondary lower pupils).

We've had a great week delivering the BMX and Multi-activity holiday camp, as part of the HAF programme for Derby City Council.

The young people who joined the ElevationX camp experienced BMX racing, coached by Kelvin Batey, a former BMX World Champion. He coached each day and delivered an inspirational talk about his journey, showing the young people that if they have a goal then it's possible to reach it.

We had a fantastic group who grew in confidence throughout the week and supported each other as they improved their BMX skills - well done to all of you, we were so proud to welcome you to the holiday camp!

The Holiday Activities and Food programme is funded by the Department of Education and offers a week of activities to young people eligible for benefits related free school meals. Young people also enjoyed a hot meal and snacks each day.

We had a great 2 days at Longfield Academy with fantastic input from the students!

We're looking forward to delivering a Holiday Activities and Food Camp at Easter on behalf of Derby Council. A great set of activities available including BMX Track delivered by BMX professionals.

Funded by the Department of Education, it means young people who are eligible for benefit related free school meals, can take part for free and will also receive a hot meal each day of the camp. Spread the word to make sure we can ensure all HAF eligible young people in get to take part in this fantastic opportunity!

This week saw students at Mary Webb School & Science College take part in our Physics In Sport workshop and Tower Tussle workshop.

Physics in Sport is a great workshop to reveal some of the many links between sport and science by using large pieces of sport equipment to answer a series of science questions.

Day 2 at Longfield Academy and this time year 7 & 8 students took part in Robot Quest and Tower Tussle workshops.

Robot Quest involves coding Spheros around our disaster zone mat to locate and rescue survivors.

Tower Tussle involves students creating tall structures that can withstand a hurricane and earthquake, while also working within a limited budget.

It will feature BMX Track Activities, sports, games, arts & crafts and STEM challenges! A hot meal is also served at lunchtime to help keep the energy levels up!
