Welcomed team from Torbay Country club last Friday afternoon.Good day had by all.Thanks to the Ladies who assisted in making them welcome with the refreshments.

Received official notification from council that the opening date for the green has been postponed until Saturday the 20th. Hopefully weather will have changed and the green dried out

Because of the condition of our green and Weather forecast for next week we have decided to postpone the opening date of the green from Saturday the 13th to Friday the 19th.

For all who are not aware, Patrick Jones is going into hospital on Wednesday. They will be giving him a jump start to see if they can control the rhythm of his heart. I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery

Just heard the sad news that John Wheeler,stalwart of Llanbradach Bowls Club passed away earlier today. Condolences to the family and Bowling Club from all at Penyrheol Bowls Club R.I.P. John

Good news, Colin has been discharged from hospital and went home yesterday. He is feeling 100% better and his irregular heartbeat is being treated with tablets. Hopefully this treatment sorts him out.

Update on Colin. Just spoke to him on phone. He is still in hospital, where they are investigating the problem with his heart. He is going to have an angiogram and hopefully this will guide the surgeon in what treatment to carry out. He informs me he is feeling a lot better than he was last week. Wished him well and a speedy recovery

Deepest Condolences to Lyn and Eileen Evans both members of the club who's grandson Scott was found dead over the Christmas period. R .I. P. Scott.

Funeral arrangements for Afron. Cars will be leaving his home at 11am on Tuesday the 11th October, will pause at Penyrheol Bowling Club before travelling to Thornhill Crematorium where the service will start at 11.40. Family have requested no flowers, but donations will be accepted for Velindre. Friends are all invited to attend the Ex Servicemens Club in Senghenydd after the service

It is with great sadness, that i have to inform all the members of our club and fellow bowling friends that Arfon Evans sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning in Hospital. Arfon was a loyal member of the club for approx 35 years and he will be sadly missed by all. Condolences to all his family. Will post news of funeral service when I find out

Commiserations to John Evans, lost in the Semi Final of Welsh Senior Singles, but a big congratulation from the club members on getting so far

John Evans visit to llandod today. Went as one of the last 16 came away after winning two games to be in the Semi Final. Well done John, on behalf of all the members of Penyrheol. 2 games from becoming Welsh Champion.
