I’m over the moon to report that Mrs Mactivity has been shortlisted for not just one, not just two, but THREE awards in the upcoming Teach Early Years and Teach Primary Awards 🏆

In the Teach Early Years Awards we have been shortlisted for our Eyfs Maths scheme - Maths Masters, and our Phase 1 lessons - Rhyme Town.

For the Teach Primary Awards we have been shortlisted for Maths Masters for KS1 and 2.

It’s tremendously exciting to be recognised in this way and is a testament to the hard work of our team and all of your support!

Fingers crossed for the finals 🤞

We are taking a little break this summer to work on some really exciting projects!!!! ☀️

You, like us may not be starting to think about what you’re going to put together for your class’ end of year gifts 🤔
Well we have the cutest little printable keyrings available in 3 different designs 🦕 🦄 🚀
They are super easy to make! Simply edit the names, print, laminate and cut with a slight excess on one side. Then you can thread through your keyring and jobs a good’un 👏🏻

It’s that time in the academic year where we teachers are having to start making orders to get prepared for the year ahead. Use our checklists to get yourself in order and feel organised and ready to go well ahead of time 👏🏻

With one week left until the phonics screening check begins, we are going to share with you some of our favourite phonics printables and activities to enjoy with your children whilst getting in some last minute practice 📚
Starting with a lovely simple one - our phonics screening check resource pack! This contains cards to use with real and pseudo (alien/nonsense) words in for children to practise their blending skills, along with a tick sheet for quick teacher referral and a how-to guide as well 👏🏻

We love this tricky word idea from using our tricky word high five cards👏🏻
Alternatively you could print these cards out and pop one of them up on your entrance door for children to high five every time they walk in the classroom. A nice easy way to consolidate tricky word recognition 🖐️

On Thursday it’s Outdoor Classroom Day - the perfect time to get out into nature and see what you can discover 🔍
Simply print our nature hunt mindfulness cards, pop them into a tuff tray with some binoculars and magnifying glasses and off they go 👏🏻

.eyfs has been exploring number bonds to 20 with her year 1 class - a great example of combining concrete and abstract here with the numicon and our worksheet 👏🏻

This week is mental health awareness week and we’ve got lots of activities available for you to download nice and easily! 👏🏻
We’ve got a huge range of mindfulness activity, affirmation cards and posters, stories about emotions, growth mindset activities and displays too ❤️
We LOVE this little set up in classroom for children to tell themselves how great they are, how powerful they are and how much they matter ✨

EYFS children have been exploring shape over the last couple of weeks 🔺
Here they are spotting shapes in pictures! Give children coloured pencils or pens to draw over the shapes that they can see and they count them all up at the end ✏️

Between May 13th and June 13th it is National Smile Month 😃
What better way to explore this than by sharing with children the importance of oral hygiene. 🦷
We’ve got a lot of resources to support this learning available to download with the click of a button and this one has got to be my favourite 🪥

In EYFS we are building numbers beyond 10 and these cards are such a quick and easy provision activity to assess how well children have mastered these knowledge and skills 👏🏻

Each one of our brand new “Build and Blend” series, for the basics, includes a high quality illustrated spelling chart.

The purpose of this is to give children the opportunity to identify the specific focus on phonics, build up the spellings they have learnt so far, incrementally and step by step.

They can also use this as a revisit and review for the spellings for the sounds they have previously learnt.

This page also highlights the tricky words that are going to read, including those with capital letters.

Finally, this page draws attention to the vocabulary that may be brand new to them and need explaining by the adult, in a simple way, that makes sense to the child.
