Hi Everyone,
We are dropping followers like flies so I just wanted to give you all an update.
My VIP Card limited is going into liquidation sadly we couldn’t carry on as we were, the pandemic really hit us hard and we didn’t have enough money to carry on.

I sold the business assets to a company called ROAR group, who have money to put in to fixing the tech issues, and they have also very kindly given me a job.
We are fixing the site, it’s been broken for quite some time, some may still have access but it’s limited.
Essentially ROAR are re building the site totally.
There will new features, new gift cards and new discounts. We want to continue to support our current partners, and if you have a listing on the website please continue to tag us so we can share your posts.
We are going to be letting any creditors and investors know details for the liquidators in the next week or so.
For anyone who currently has a subscription and cannot access we will be giving extra time on the end of your subscription.

For any new businesses who would like to join us please follow and we will let you know when the new website is ready for you to join.

Last year My VIP Card Limited, trading as My VIP Rewards, did a funding round on Crowdcube and then a subsequent round with Angel Investors.

I genuinely saw My VIP Rewards as having the potential to be massive. I was so ambitious and I had a really clear vision.

After spending the investment raised to grow the business by developing the tech and hiring a team, we ran out of money.

I budgeted, I cut costs to try and keep us alive. I sadly had to let my team go, which put a huge strain on my mental and physical health.

But I also know when something isn’t working and very sadly I have had to make the decision to liquidate My VIP Card Limited 😢

To afford to pay for the liquidation costs, I have sold the assets of the business.

This is heartbreaking for me after putting 5 years of my life into my dream, and I just want to thank everyone who has supported and backed me and My VIP Rewards to date.

But as a director my duty had to be with the creditors over anything else.

I especially want to thank those who have invested in us and supported us financially.

On a positive note, the new owners have very kindly offered me a position within their business ( which is something totally different and very exciting)

I will continue to support with My VIP Rewards and make sure that all of our current users, customers and partners are looked after. I will be emailing everyone later.

This may be the end of a chapter, but it isn’t the end of my story, and I will continue to follow my dreams 🤍

Black Friday is approaching.

Here are some of my tips on how to find the best deals and stay in control of your spending.

👉Make a list of things you want to buy in advance. And the places you are likely to find them. Make a note of what the prices are now. This way you know if the reduction is true.

👉Join mailing lists in advance , this way you will get alerted to the best offers on email without having to search for ages.
Shop around, the best deal may not be the one you have found. But do it quickly as you don’t want to miss out.

👉Use Cashback sites. Often you will be able to get Cashback on top of your purchase, saving you even more money. Topcashback, Quidco, Jam Doughnut are my favourites.

👉Use employee discount schemes if you get them through work to buy discounted vouchers for your purchase this will save you more money on bigger purchases.

🤍Save money on deliveries by picking up items from your local store.
Follow on Instagram and Tiktok , lots of small businesses do Black Friday sales and this is a great way of finding bargains

👉Don’t buy something for the sake of it being in the sale. Plan what you are looking for in advance by making a list. And budget! Set a price for each item and stick to it.

👉Black Friday sales are not just online, they are also on the high street so if you are not sure what you are after go and support your local high street.

👉Remember Black Friday isn’t just one day anymore, it lasts all weekend through to Cyber Monday. And deals can be reduced even further.

👉Remember to read customer reviews on products. Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s good.
👉Be wary of refund and returns policies, often sale items will be no return or will have a shorter return period.

❌And some tips if you are not interested in Black Friday sales at all or you don’t have the money for it this year, move retailer emails to a hidden email folder, avoid social media,Remember it’s just a few days where people go crazy. There is always the Boxing Day- January sales. Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself to do what everyone else is doing.

Yesterday was a really special day for me because I got to meet Samantha Acton - founder Domestic Angels Group of Companies for the first time in person.

And I didn’t even know it was happening.

For the last year Sam has been my business mum.

A mentor, an advisor, someone for me to cry on which has happened a lot.

But most importantly she has turned into a friend.

I love this lady with so much of my heart.

In business so many people won’t help you without wanting to be paid or wanting something in return.

Sam has never been like that, she just wanted to help me. And I am truly grateful for her love and her support.

She is one of those genuinely lovely people who supports no matter what.

To meet her so unexpectedly yesterday really made my day.

We first met at a franchisor networking session when My VIP Rewards was a franchise (we had to sadly un franchise due to it not working during the pandemic)

Sam is one of the fairest and best franchisers I know. She runs a cleaning franchise called Domestic Angels (UK) Ltd and it’s awesome!

So even personal finance specialists fall for scams 😫

Yesterday I was doing a bit of pre Black Friday shopping, I found a Ninja air fryer for £43.

Now usually I would take my own advice and check around, and my other normal advice which is if something seems too good to be true it usually is.

But I was having what I like to call a menopause moment.

Where all my common sense went out of the window.

Air fryers , especially Ninjas are not that cheap!!

The site looked so real! But there wasn’t any PayPal or reputable payment provider like stripe, even Klarna! As much as I am anti Klarna!

So I got stung! So this is just a reminder to everyone.

Double check what you are doing before buying stuff online.

Hey guys,
I have been a quiet on here because I have been going through some stuff. Firstly totally unrelated to the business I haven’t been very well. I have been having a really bad auto immune disease flare up. Which has meant I have been pretty useless this last week.
Both physically and mentally.
What also doesn’t help us that last Thursday we had an issue with the date in our website, we have had to close the whole thing whilst we resolve it to protect the data of our members. And I have had a lot of cross people not being able to use their subscriptions 😭
Which is understandable, especially new people who have just signed up.
But please be patient with us. We are working really hard to fix it. But it was such a big error it’s taking time.
Tech breaks. We are not a big multi million pound business, we are a very small business and we are working to fix something massive with limited budget and resources. So I know you are angry but we will make it up to you all. I feel dreadful about it all. And it’s having a massive impact on us as a business. So please bear this in mind with the way some of you are speaking to me 😢 I will email everyone once we are back up and running. I am so sorry for the inconvenience. Lots of love to you all. Xx
