Gardens outside the office looking gorgeous today! If you're in the park or town then come and smell the flowers, they are amazing.
This is all about movement. The mind-body connection and how we can improve our mental health by moving more. So here are 3 local businesses that can help you do just that...
- Ollie is a personal trainer who works with you to look at your movement, your sleep, stress levels and nutrition. He also runs a programme designed to help busy Dads get back to fitness.
muaythai - Holly is a personal trainer and Muay Thai boxer/coach. She runs a training gym so if you're looking to get into some boxing or use movement to channel feeling, she is perfect in that way.

This week is and the focus this year is on ARFID
This week is Eating Disorder awareness week and we would like to educate as much as possible about Arfid. My youngest R is diagnosed with this eating disorder, when he was first diagnosed I knew a little about it but not to the extent of how much it can affect someone. People with Arfid really aren’t picky eaters, the quote they will eat when they are hungry does not apply, I really wish it did. Arfid is actually such a scary disorder that affects so much. I’m no expert we are learning as we go but I research lots I’m on another course this week and what I am finding is our situation has an added extra as R’s understanding level is still very low so a lot of strategies aren’t actually suitable for my little guy. But one thing he has is a mummy who will never give up trying to find ways to help

5 tips to help you gain control of your social media use… 1. Limit your use - you can do this by tracking the amount of time you spend on social media. There are apps to help you do this. You can then program how long you would like to spend on each platform each day and when you hit that limit, the app will kick you out. 2. Disable notifications - social....

Positive impacts of social media on our mental health Social media gets a really bad press when it comes to the impact that it has on our mental health. And although last week we did look at those negative impacts, it can also have positive impacts on how we are (if we use it in a routine, not a heavy or substantial way). The main aim of social media i...

The Negative Impact of Social Media on our Mental Health Studies are showing us that there is a link between heavy or substantial social media use and depression, anxiety, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts. The studies categorize heavy or substantial use as 4+ hours a day. You may think that seems an absolutely incredible amount, but if you track the....

Our Story
Suzie Booth - MSC. MBACP reg.
Everyone experiences difficult times at some point in their lives and sometimes we need a space to talk and work through those difficulties. Counselling is an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and supportive environment with someone who is trained to help. Everyone is different and every experience is different; I like to help people understand how they have got to this point and then help them to look at ways they can make changes to benefit their lives.
People start counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing current difficulties or wanting to work things through from the past. You may be feeling low or anxious and not even know why. You may even just want a space to feel supported and heard. Counselling is not simply about responding to crisis but also about self and life exploration. Sometimes it can feel easier to talk things through with someone external to family and friends.
I am a professionally qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Oxford Brookes University and then earned a Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling from the University of Greenwich. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have been seeing clients through a number of organisations for several years. I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues, personalities and ages and see clients from 16 years and up. I see clients face to face and also offer telephone and Zoom video sessions. I also provide couples counselling; working with both of you to help resolve relationship difficulties.
We would first have an initial consultation to discuss what has brought you to counselling and what would be the best way forward. Some people decide to have a few sessions while others choose to continue on an open-ended basis. This is something we would discuss in the first consultation. If we decide to proceed with counselling the sessions are once weekly and last 50 minutes. My counselling practice is located in central Horsham but I also offer phone and online sessions.
