Check out our latest off-grid lithium installation completed by Dominic on this fantastic Roller Team Pegaso! In this system, we have included 200AH of lithium power from our Xplorer Polarmax range. Additionally, we have increased the solar array by a further 200 watts and included DC & AC Victron Smart Chargers all monitored via the Victron Smart Shunt and integrated with the original system 👌 .

In memory of company founder Christopher Gabbott (April 1950 - January 2023)

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our company founder and Father Christopher Gabbott.

Dad was a battery man through and through having been involved in the industry since the 1970's. Despite an entrepreneurial exit from the industry in the 1990's Dad returned, starting Alpha Batteries from home.

None of us knew the journey this would take us on and with the addition of his two Sons and Brother grew the business to be one of the UK's leading online battery specialists.

Dad was a serial entrepreneur and had a fountain of knowledge, ideas and drive to make the business a success. These values are still with us today through his sons John and Peter.

Dad's health declined in 2015 but always felt part of the business which gave him strength and comfort. Despite the cruel disease of dementia he remained aware of the business and we take great comfort from that.

We would like to thank all our customers for their custom over the years, after all, without Dad there would be nothing to buy and offer from us!

We will be closed on Friday the 17th February for Dad's funeral.
