"RUBBISH RYANAIR"

With our flight (FR4459) from Malaga to East Midlands Airport being diverted to Stanstead Airport the passengers were left High & Dry by Ryanair and were told that passengers would have to find their way home or back to the East Midlands Airport.

Because of adverse weather conditions after landing, we had to remain in our seats on the tarmac for over an hour because there were no drivers available for buses to get us to the terminal.

Once in the terminal, it took us one & a half hours to collect our luggage and by then (at around 2 a.m.) there were no Ryanair representatives as to advise us to what was happening. The pilot had told us before we embarked that they were looking for alternatives to getting us back to the East Midlands i.e. by bus – by taxi or that they could possibly get us into a hotel for the night.

None of this happened because once again there were no representatives!!! We spoke to customer services within the terminal who said they were unable to speak to anyone at Ryanair in this country or in Ireland so they told us we should make our own arrangements to get back home or to the East Midlands Airport.

We booked tickets for a bus to get back to Nottingham which was at 9:00 o’clock the next morning and then a taxi back to the East Midlands Airport to collect our car.

We eventually arrived home at 1:20 p.m. (Monday 22/01/2024) the next day – “around 36 hours later than expected”

We emailed our concerns and what had happened to us but no one has replied.

Remember the name “RYANAIR” - Do Not Touch With a Barge Pole!!!

Our next Fair at Lowdhams Village Hall will be on the 7th. August 2022.
