We are inviting you to help vote for the best research posters from our shortlisted entries. There are awesome prizes to be won (£1000 first prize, £500 second prize ad £150 third prize for both competitions) and your votes are needed to award the best entries.

Please only vote once. Also, a UEA login is required to access the poster competition entries. Voting closes on Monday, 4th May 2020 at 11:00.

The invites for our pre-selected posters are out, which will be presented in the Forum on the 26th of March.

Today is our Deadline Day!
Get your A2 posters in before 5pm. Need help with converting the poster to an A2? PowerPoint or Publisher are most compatible with A2.
PP: From the 'Design' tab, click 'Page Setup', then type in the width and height required and choose orientation required for the slide.
Word: Click 'layout', then 'size', then 'more paper sizes' and type in the dimensions manually. (link bellow provides additional help) If any difficulties with A2 dimensions in word, submit in editable A3 and we will convert it.

Do Something Different and get your poster displayed!
Our Poster Competition :
Layout: visually appealing and easy to follow (headings and subheadings
Reading order: reading order with a clear sequence of information (top to bottom and from left to right)
Balance: arranging text and images in such a way that both elements are balanced across the poster (high resolution images with a resolution of at least 300 pixels per sq. inch to avoid pixelated posters, when printed)
Effective use of Text: Try to avoid font sizes below 24. Be consistent with style. Make use of Italics, underlining and CAPITALS, bold, bullet points or line spacing.
Graphs and Images: Presenting numerical data use charts and graphs rather than tables. Format them effectively by keeping them simple, enlarging text and thickening lines.
Colour: Ensure that it does not obscure or detract from the text and images (amended from the University of Manchester, 2019)

This year the NEP's annual competition has a different format. Students should submit an A2 poster on one of five topics. The winners will have the opportunity to display their work at the Forum in Norwich.
*Individual or group submissions are welcomed
*Submission Deadline: 4th March 2019 by 5.00pm.
The prizes are as follows for each Year Group:
-1st place: £750
-2nd place: £500 pounds
-3rd place: £300 pounds
-Public Choice Award: £500 pounds
