Today we're excited to introduce our newest team member, Luke Page 👋

We playfully call him 'little Luke' (so as not to confuse him with Luke Wyatt) but his impact on the business is far from little.

Luke works in Sales and his primary goal is to leverage his expertise in the timber industry to identify opportunities for product innovation and market expansion.

Luke says, "Ultimately, I aspire to play a key role in the company's success by delivering exceptional sales performance and contributing to its overall growth and reputation."

Outside of work, you'll find Luke gaming 🕹️ "It's not just about the entertainment value," he says, "I find it to be a great way to challenge my problem-solving skills and immerse myself in different narratives."

Additionally, like any good Wyatt team member 😉 Luke loves taking leisurely walks with his dog 🐶

In case you haven’t and you’re worried about the safety of your furry family member, follow our simple checklist to ensure that you keep unwanted visitors out and your pet friends in.

🔎Assess the Situation

Consider the size, breed and temperament of your pet. Also take your location and garden layout into account. Flag any weak points (such as items that could be used as a stepping stone) that could be seen as a potential escape route.

⬆️ Ensure your fence is high enough

If your pet is a jumper or climber, you’ll have to ensure that your fence is high enough to minimise the risk of leaping over it. You can extend the height of your fence with chicken wire, rollers or longer fence staves.

🚫 Eliminate any gaps

Make sure there are no gaps between posts and panels. This can also help to obscure your pet’s view, making them less likely to be tempted by something on the other side of your garden.

🔨 Choose the correct fencing materials

There are various materials and fencing styles that you can opt for. The choice depends on your budget and personal aesthetic preference. For example, a Chain Link fence is durable and secure, however, it might not look as appealing as a wooden Picket Fence. Make sure to explore your options and pick the best choice for you and your pet. If you’re unsure or have any questions, get in contact with us today.

🔒 Secure the bottom of the fence

To prevent your pets from digging below the fence, make sure the bottom of your fence is more secure by extending staves or installing an L-shaped extension. You could also plant bushes or fill gaps with gravel.
