It’s time for me to say goodbye from this side of the bar and from The Lamp’s socials ❤️

I never intended to be here for 10 years but there’s a reason I have been and that is due to the amazing customers that The Lamplighter attracts, all the wonderful staff that I have had the pleasure of working with and of course to Paul and James Hanna.

I am incredibly proud of this pub and everything it stands for and I’m excited to pass the reigns over to and who work immensely hard to ensure that The Lamp is the best pub in town (sorry to the other pubs I love 😜).

After 10+ years our beautiful General Manager Emma is leaving us to travel the world 😭✈️

Emma has contributed so much over the years to help make the friendly, welcoming and inclusive pub that it is and it simply wouldn’t have been the same without her

Working in hospitality requires you to be multi-skilled and is hard work. It is also a lot of fun and a wonderful place for people to help develop life skills. Having a supportive manager is the key to unlock these

Emma has been a friend and mentor to the many people who have been part of our team over the years (all of who have contributed to the success of The Lamplighter over the last 15 years)

She has made a positive impact on countless people by encouraging a good work ethic, the value of teamwork, supporting people through times of crisis and maintaining a loving and fun place to work and to belong

EMMA WE LOVE YOU AND ARE GOING TO MISS YOU 😘😘😘

They invited us over to their brewery & tap room in Melton Mowbray to drink their beers, eat some delicious pizza and meet some like minded people within the industry.

Had a brilliant tour from their lead brewer Lara, some great conversation and obviously some delicious beer!
