I was packing a few Etsy orders earlier today, including this gorgeous card, and realised there are so many Kapelki cards that I introduced many years ago and they are so loved by my customers but they rarely make it into the spotlight.
I designed this stunning blue birthday card almost 9 years ago, getting the idea from a little corner of one of Grandfather's illustrations because I just fell in love with the colour combination. The card became especially popular with my wholesale customers, I guess because it is so lovely when you hold it and perfect for any birthday, yet a little different from a classic birthday card.
So to give it the attention it definitely deserves I took a quick snap of it when I was packing this order. Hope it brings a smile to the birthday person that gets it 💙

🍈🌿Last cucamelons of this year. I've really enjoyed growing them from seeds and eating them. Though to be fair most of them were crunched on by my daughter. 👧
Lovely flavour: sort of citrussy cucumber 😋
If you've never eaten them - why not try growing them next year?!

I LOVE this colour combination! That is why I decided to put grandfather's fox on this rich background when designing this card. It's popularity suggests I did the right thing ☺️

Let's see what the rest of the week brings us and for now - 💜 Hello from my autumnal garden and quite an unexpected bloom - This gorgeous young clematis had just a couple of flowers in spring but wow! Look at it now - covered with bright and joyful purple beauties 💜

Ehh... Running a small biz is not always smooth and easy and hiccups happen, unfortunately.
I am here to apologise to my lovely retailers who are waiting to order Kapelki Art tea towels.
My delivery of belly bands got lost somewhere 📦 😢 and even though I tried my best to understand where it was on Friday, I had no luck with DPD to locate it, it is definitely not where it was supposed to be delivered. I will be on it tomorrow again and hope to get it or get a preprint and redelivery asap.
All of this means I am not able to sell some of my beautiful tea towels for a few more days (so sorry), that is why you can't order them on Faire Wholesale at the moment.
🙂However, if your wholesale order was confirmed last week and due to be dispatched on Monday, it WILL be sent tomorrow. No changes or delays.

Our Story
Kapelki Art is a brand born in 2016 from the dreams of Galina, granddaughter of a treasured Russian artist, Yuri Vasnetsov. Mother of two and English Teacher, Galina set about bringing the magic of Yuri’s art to the rest of the world and came up with the first of a collection of greetings cards focusing on carefully selected elements and entire works of her grandfather. His bright bold style is strikingly simple at first sight, but doesn’t scrimp on detail at closer inspection. The images take us away from the stresses of modern life and into a magical fairy tale world where cats and squirrels wear boots and bring flowers, characters dwell in gingerbread houses with curly windows and roofs, and seasons come alive and take hold of our senses.
Although the name may not mean much to the average Brit, Galina chose Kapelki Art to reflect the history and style of Yuri’s art, as in Russian the word kapelki means drops. His images contain little drops that make flowers and trees seemingly shine in the morning dew and bring a real sense of movement and life to the characters. Quite simply, there are drops of magic in his work which bring a gentle touch to his bold colourful style and help the images to speak to us as though we were children again.
Bouquet collection includes the works of Yuri's daughter, Elizaveta Vasnetsova, in which every blade of grass captures her love for nature.
Kapelki Art range has been growing and now offers not only greeting cards and notebooks, but also a beautiful collection of unique tableware, including coasters, table mats and food boards. The most recent addition is a selection of 100% organic cotton tea towels.
Yuri Vasnetsov’s illustrations give a wonderful insight into Russian mentality and culture and remind us of kindness and innocence so much needed in our fast modern world.
