Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing ok. I wonder if I can ask for your help please? I’m taking part in the Mighty Hike half marathon across the Peak District to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Along with 2 of my work friends, Louise and Andrea from Byrkley Park Garden Centre, whom we are representing on our walk, we’ll be walking just over 13 miles across the Peaks on Sunday, 23rd July. Sadly, I think we’ve probably all been touched by cancer at some point in our lives, whether it be a family member, a loved one, ourselves or a mate. On this walk, personally, I shall be doing it for, and thinking about, a wonderful human called Andre Bielecki, whom we lost to this horrible disease earlier this year. Husband to my best mate Suzanne, Andre was the most special of people, loved by everyone and the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him were all the richer for it. So, for all the Andres out there, please, please give something if you can, however small; it all adds up and will help to make a difference. Thank you in advance everyone and Andre, wherever you are mate, I’m gonna need a hand getting round on this hike as I’ve done zero training mate! 😂👍❤️ But I have got a lovely new pair of walking boots that I’m hoping will help…thanks all. Hello everyone, I hope you’re all ok and have had a lovely jubley Jubilee bank hol! To my parent and teacher/teaching assistant/school support staff friends…please can I pick your collective brains?!
Parents - if you were going to buy a teacher/teacher assistant gift when the summer term ends, what kind of gift would it be? A sweet teacher appreciation print or plaque or a little bracelet maybe? Or something a bit more straightforward like chocs, flowers, a candle or something similar?
To my teacher etc pals…if you had a choice, (and I know everyone is grateful for everything they receive!), would you rather have something cutesy, or something a bit more useful that you can use in class, such as a box of useful bits and pieces, (drawing pins/tacks, post it notes, a rubber, sharpener, rubber bands, and maybe a few emergency sweets?!)
