The Escrick 10k is a flat, scenic 10km course, running on roads, paths and bridleways within the Escrick Park Estate. The run starts and finishes on the Escrick Village Green which is on Carr Lane – see website for directions. There are toilet facilities at Queen Margaret’s School near the car park, on the Village Green and at the Village Hall. until 1.00 p.m., offering hot and cold drinks and refreshments.

Escrick 10k and Fun Run 2023 – please note that the closing date for entries is
noon on Tuesday, 15th August. No entries will be accepted after this time as the
race numbers and timing tags will be created that day. The event takes place on
Sunday, 20th August at 11am with the children’s fun run at 12.30. There will be
our ever popular BBQ and ice cream van on the Village Green. The course is
multi-terrain and off road, mostly on private land thanks to Escrick Park Estate
and Queen Margaret’s School. All information and the link to entry is at

The Escrick 10k 2023 takes place on Sunday, August 20 th at 11am starting and finishing on the Village Green, with a children’s fun run to follow at 12.30. There will be the always popular BBQ on the Green throughout the morning which also sells tea, coffee and homemade cakes.
The route is a multi-terrain, mostly flat route through tracks and forest trails closed to the public on the privately owned Escrick Estate.
Places are filling up rapidly so we would recommend potential runners to book their places soon, and we would welcome any volunteers to help either on the Green or on the course – please email [email protected] if you can help. All information on the run can be found at

We have started all the preparations for the 2023 as usual, but have not yet opened registrations, watch this space! Coming soon……
Returning for 2023 is the bag drop and the Childrens Fun Run. The BBQ and refreshments will be available to purchase before and during the event. Everyone is welcome to come and support!

The course is ready, are you?
After a wet day of set-up, the signs are out, the gazebos are up, the toilets in situ, and the puddles are growing!
Surface conditions are wet. Most of the course is tarmac or good gravel tracks, but in places there is surface mud on harder drier ground which can be quite slippery, so choose shoes accordingly and exercise caution.
Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Key changes for 2021:
Regular runners should note a few key changes this year:
- there's no bag store
- there's no water table at 5km - bring your own water
- numbers/timing tags have been posted to you, instead of collect on the day
- the toilet block at the carpark is unavailable (but instead the village hall toilets are available in addition to the portable toilets at the start/finish line)
(we've had to adapt plans for Covid mitigations and to reduce the number of volunteers required)

On The Day It is of the utmost importance to us to keep everyone participating in the Escrick 10K safe. We therefore ask that all entrants adhere to our Covid-9 guidance and respect their fellow runners, and volunteers at the event.
The Escrick 10k 2021 is now fully subscribed - we look forward to welcoming you on the day.
For the avoidance of doubt, there are no more places available, and no entry on the day.
Race numbers and timing tags will be posted out next week.
As such the deadline for any changes to address or participant details is this Sunday (8th).
