This property in is going on the market, and the garden was full of weeds and overgrowth. The client needed it tidied in a hurry to enable the estate agent to do the marketing photographs.

I took on this job myself, achieving the work in under two days on my own. All of the waste had to be removed through the house in bulk bags, and of course, it rained 🌧 both days too!

This is a real demonstration of the work we do and the effort we will put in to get the job done. ✅️

Meet Ian, one of our regular customers. This is Ian's first garden, and when we first met, the garden at the property was a bit of a mess and needed our help. We cleared the weeds, removed overgrown bamboo, and patched in the paving.

Ian has autism and when he first contacted us, he made us aware that he would need additional help and guidance as to how to care for his garden. His confidence has grown, and recently, we planted some new shrubs and herbaceous plants.

Today, we popped in to show Ian how to water using his new hose and spray gun. There was no extra charge for this as we wanted to make sure he knew how to care for his new plants.

On Tuesday, we tackled this overgrown garden in . Nothing had been done to the garden in over two years, and so there was a lot to achieve in one day!

We found the front door (so everyone else can too), discovered there is a lawn after all, and cut back away from the main path to improve access to the house. There's more to do on another day, but it's certainly made a difference.

This week, we started strimming the old church yard in 🌱🪦☘️

The area is managed for wildlife, including , , and , and is left to grow long to create habitat in the middle of the town. This year, we are strimming the whole area twice. However, we're also staggering the visits to allow time for each area to recover and the wildlife to move around.

Today, we installed timber cladding to a feather edge fence in . The section of fence is adjacent to the main patio, and the client wanted to hide the ugly fence and provide a better background to their potted plants.

On Friday, we planted a further fifty into this garden in 🌱🌿☘️

Threading repeating plant species throughout a garden helps to bring cohesion to the space. All of the plants here have white or yellow flowers, which also brings a relaxing harmony to the garden.

This garden demonstrates some of our key services. We cleared the borders of old plants in April 2022, and we then supplied and planted 350 herbaceous perennials throughout the garden. Ongoing aftercare and regular garden maintenance visits, backed up with periodic tree pruning and annual pressure washing, all come together to form a complete service.

A border renovation and planting job in from last week.

The original plants were trimmed and thinned, and then soil was improved with top soil and manure mix. New and were then added to the borders to add a lot more colour and structure to the planting scheme.

Candidates should have significant prior knowledge and experience in garden maintenance, operating related machinery, and soft landscaping. Good plant knowledge and relevant qualifications would be an advantage.

Pay will be £13 to £16 per hour (dependant on knowledge and experience) equivalent gross salary range £28,730 to £35,360. 

Salary ranges are based 42.5 hours per week of 8.5 hour days, 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (No Weekend Working).

The vacancy is a fully employed position on PAYE with 28 days paid holiday and an invitation to our existing pension scheme.

Can we create a perfect lawn from an old pony paddock? Of course we can! ✅️ 👷‍♂️

This area of compacted ground used to have rubber mats laid over subbase to form a pony paddock. Our customers wanted to return the area to the lawn, which required a considerable amount of work.

Once the area was scraped clear, we used an excavator to dig over the ground and then rotavated the existing soil. The next stage was to bring in 8 tonnes of top soil and spread, level, tread, and rake. We then laid quality turf to complete the job.

Nothing is impossible. Go on, challenge us. 😉

Not all of our work is big projects and thousands of pounds. We do little jobs too 👷‍♂️

This garden is owned by a gentleman in who wanted a simple area of concrete paving to site a bench to sit on in the sun.

He had laid some slabs down last year over plastic to kill off the grass but needed a little help to do the rest.

We also sorted out the approach path and the edging beside the shed for him. All in a mornings work 👷‍♂️👍

Box moth caterpillars 🐛 are currently running rife in every corner of the British Isles.

Here in Kent, we have seen so many irreparably damaged box hedges and topiary. This customer in Staplehurst fought the caterpillars for a few years, but the hedge succumbed to the high number of caterpillars and damage this year.

We removed all of the plants and turned over the soil to remove the roots. We took the infected material straight to the waste facility to avoid cross contamination.

The client is deciding which species of hedge to replant, but the options discussed included variegated Photinia.

An unusual request: rip up the hard landscaping and put the garden back to lawn 🌱

We're back 👋 following a break from social media. We've been busy recently with a diverse range of work, and we'll start to share some of it with you all.

This customer in wanted to bring some harmony back to the garden by putting the area back down to lawns.

The exisiting paving down the end, a small area of weedy lawn and all of the gravel and subbase was removed. Following cultivation with a rotavator, a large amount of fresh top soil was installed before laying 80m² of quality turf.

Is this proof that plants 🌱 can be incorporated anywhere if you try hard enough 💪

We were asked by a new client to reinstate some plant borders at the front of their house in . The site slopes, and the rain water running down the path would flood the borders.

So, our solution was to excavate the two areas and install some bricks laid on edge to define the borders. A mix of fresh top soil and manure was installed, and the borders are ready for the client to plant 🪴 🌱

This job in demonstrates how capable our team is, how we can transfer our skills, and how we can apply ourselves to almost anything.

It was during the initial site visit for this job that James noticed the bottom of the right-hand post of this porch was rotting away. So today, we replaced the post with one we prepared in our workshop over the last week.

Once this was completed, we installed a stainless steel tension wire support system and planted a new Trachelospermum climber.

Mulching with well rotted manure in today.

This garden has featured numerous times on our socials as it's one of our favourites 😍 The borders were last manured before the new planting was installed, back in May 2022. Since then, the manure has been incorporated into the soil by weathering, regular cultivation, and lots of worm action 🪱

Why mulch? 🤷 Mulching with manure aids moisture retention and increases the nutrients in the soil. It also helps to keep down the self seeded weeds 🌱 and it helps to show off the plants well too 😍

Today's work forms part of our winter preparations for the season ahead. Next up is pressure washing all the brick paving and paths. The bulbs are on their way up throughout the borders, and the trees are budding up nicely.
