How it works
~ YHLB empowers people with back pain to learn how to help themselves to improved long-term comfort, health and wellbeing through a one-off course.

You will practice specialised yoga movement, posture and breathing designed to develop muscle strength, body alignment and awareness and reduce pain. You learn about back health, posture and relaxation skills; building confidence to exercise without pain.

Evidence it works
~ The programme is supported by a large robust research trial conducted by the University of York Trials Unit. Evidence supported its effectiveness as a safe treatment improving back function.
~ YHLB data was included in NICE back pain and sciatica Guidance. An economic study assessed by PHE shows its cost-effectiveness.
