**A GREAT DAY FOR KICKBOXING in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
“ We are delighted to announce that the sport of Kickboxing under the auspices of Kickboxing Ireland and WAKO GB
under the IOC recognised body of WAKO has received full sport council recognition in Northern Ireland,
today at the same time our fellow WAKO National federation WAKO GB, have received recognition today from, Sport England, Sport Scotland and Sport Wales.

This is a huge positive development for our sport in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It will open many avenues of support and facilities for our clubs and Athletes. It will open opportunities for funding and development support.
WAKO GB will continue to remain transparent and will welcome the opportunity for all Kickboxing clubs to grow over the coming years.

Please take time to celebrate this amazing achievement and we would like to thank the current board, previous board members and all our loyal members for their continued support and engagement.
We can now take our place as a recognised sport in Great Britain and Northern Iteland and develop our athletes to reach their potential.
