Cimone London
CIMONE is an inclusive London based RTW / Bespoke brand. F**k fashion, wear art. Disruptive luxury.
Today marks the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising.
In honour of this, (and because I’m off to Scotland as we speak ) here’s a post of our q***r tartan coat and dress, which is made up of a large amount of the LGBTQIA+ flags, representing the diversity of the q***r spectrum.
Tartans are traditionally associated with specific Scottish clans or families, and different tartans are used to distinguish between different groups or communities. Traditionally, tartans were used for clothing and as a symbol of identity and belonging, with each clan having its own distinct tartan.
Colourful and vibrant, this technicolour dreamcoat represents our very own colourful, beautiful q***r clan.
Happy pride everyone!

I am thrilled to announce that Cimone has a full look showcased in the upcoming “Beyond the Little Black Dress” exhibition
The exhibition, in Edinburgh, is open from July 1st - 29th October.
Featuring 60 looks from the last century, this is the National Museums Scotland’s biggest fashion exhibition to date.
I’m super excited to see it all in situ next week!
On this international women’s day, I challenge you to make a list of all of the women’s that have held, over the history of time, or do hold creative director positions within fashion - especially those that have been, or are at the head of a brand that isn’t their own namesake label or those that have inherited the position from family ties.
Most people probably don’t think about it too much, but women that have been appointed as Creative Director positions at the helm of a brand that they did not launch themselves, or inherit from family, are all too rare.
Honestly it’s quite shocking.
We should and must do better by not just acknowledging women on one day, but doing more to address this imbalance and giving them the opportunities that they deserve - so that more importantly, their work can be celebrated every day of of the year.
In the meantime, let’s revel in the genius of one of my favorite female fashion designers, Alix Barton - aka Madame Gres.
Her pieces are as modern now as they were when she draped them all those years ago.
I don’t post or write on here very often, but today I feel compelled to share my sadness on the passing of the queen.
I don’t care if it’s not popular opinion - I loved her.
She was a strong steadfast women, an unwavering force, driven by duty - carrying out that duty with grace and dignity.
Back in a time when women had gained a little anonymity, only to be been forced out of jobs after the war, (and even if they did have jobs - were routinely sacked for getting pregnant) women in powerful positions were scarce.
She was an inspiration to women all over the world.
It is as true today as it was back then that we need more strong women in power, especially those who can lead with finesse, strength, and fairness - even in the face of adversity and an ever changing world.
Let her majesty be an example to us all - to the young, but especially to older women - we can all hold strength and power throughout our lives, no matter what our age, and no matter what society says - she was 96!
She was and always will be an inspiration to me. I will miss seeing her face dearly.
This is one of my favorite images of the Queen not just because I love the 40s, but because for me it encapsulates one of the attitudes of the British that I love - “keep calm and carry on!”
What a legend.
Charles Eames said it best:
“The details are not the details. They make the product. The connections, the connections, the connections. It will in the end be these details that give the product its life”
Here is a behind the scenes shot of the gorgeous for - this time from behind.
We wanted to make sure the dress also had a harder edge, so added black detailing within the design.
A thick black contrast running full length down the back, a black cuff and black inside hemline, finished off with black nails by and black accessories, Jodie felt like a black swan emerging from within the dress….

The moment of truth!
Behind the scenes shot of the gorgeous being put into our custom made beanbag ball dress for - (my hands in the background!!!) This is a close up of the texture at the front, which isn’t beads, but polyballs (beanbag stuffing!) that have been pressed into the fabric, freezing them in time, and fixed in place. In contrast, the balls encased in the sleeve act against the silk which has an opposite charge, creating a static energy when rubbed or shaken. The balls stick, climb and jump around on the silk - an ever evolving embroidery that is never the same twice.
Fashion can be fun too!
The dress is also made entirely from end of life materials.

The beautiful in our custom made beanbag ball dress for - the dress is all made from end of life materials and was created specifically to incorporate her pregnancy, while allowing Jodie to retain her sense of self. Issue 04 is here! Everything about the collection is non binary - pieces are designed to be transformative in all senses; nothing is quite as it seems. What we wear and the way we wear it has never been more political. Issue 04 is a statement about who we are and where we are heading, reclaiming space and telling a story. Above all, f**k fashion wear art! Here is a still from our presentation video.
