My office for the day.
Today im at the 2024 Cancer Well-being Day here at the Hawthorns.
Happy Saturday and I hope your day is as rewarding as mine ❤️👌❤️
😳mg, I forgot I was going to be back on TV tonight and C4 Super Surgeons, with the beautiful and wonderful Rosemarie ❤️
We filmed this a couple of years ago now for the first series of Super Surgeons, and its a day neither of us will ever forget. Therefore, It was nice for us both to be asked again if they could reuse a clip from that days filming 🎥
Heartbreaking news today 💔
This young lady was a true inspiration to all going through a breast cancer journey. She did so much to raise awareness for the younger generation and their future.
No one should ever be told their to young. We all should know Cancer has NO discrimination, to age, gender, background, and colour.
RIP Kris.
God has gained a beautiful angel 😇
We share the sad news that our founder, b**b chief, colleague, friend and queen of glittering turds, Kris, has died.
Kris was the biggest promoter of being ‘alive to do those things’. She approached life in a wildly creative, fun and fearless way, and showed us that it is possible to live life to the full with cancer.
In 2009 Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23, after being turned away from her GP for over a year. By the time she was diagnosed, it was terminal. Kris’ ambition was for no one else to find themselves in her position and so CoppaFeel! was born, to ensure breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately.
Kris has reached millions of people with her message of health advocacy and empowerment, successfully campaigned for cancer education to be included in the school curriculum, won the Women of the Year Outstanding Young Campaigner award, received an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from Nottingham Trent University and wrote a Times Best Selling book: Glittering a Turd.
Kris’ life mission was that CoppaFeel! would no longer need to exist, with late diagnosis of breast cancer eradicated in her lifetime. We are committed to continuing Kris’ legacy, to ensure that everyone has the best chance of living a happy and healthy life. If you’d like to support this mission, you can donate at the link in our bio.
For 15 years Kris had been living with secondary breast cancer. She hasn’t lost a battle, she wasn’t in a fight and she certainly wouldn’t want you to see her death as tragic. She was simply living. She was 38 and died with fulfilment and a heart full of love.
Kris’ family have one request - for peace and privacy to allow them the time and space needed to process Kris’ death. We would like to thank our community for your love and messages of support and kindly ask that you respect the family’s wishes at this time.
Please remember the amazing life Kris led and the things she achieved, but above all else honour her memory by checking your chest…it could just save your life.
‘Trust your body, believe in hope, leave room for miracles.’ Kris Hallenga
With love from all at CoppaFeel! HQ x

Today Community Breast Care has received a fabulous and generous donation from Lauren Bottley, family and friends.
It was Lauren's late mom, Linda Bottley wishes to continue supporting the work we do. 💝
Therefore, this donation will help fund new teaching aids and extra bras for post surgery breast cancer ladies.
As you all know, Community Breast Care is a non-profit organisation that relys up on grants and donations to enable us to continue the work we do. Without your support and the charities I work with Community Breast Care would not exist.
Therefore, I wish to thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Thank you 🙏

Such sad news today.
Princess Kate is so beautiful, and this must have been so hard for her to do. You can see how emotional she was, and she made this so personal thinking of others going through cancer, too.
I hope everyone will leave her and the family alone now so she can finish her treatment and protect her babies. I really feel for them all, and especially Prince William.
Sending love and healing prayers to them all ❤️
🍀 Happy St Patrick's Day 🍀
Happy International Women's Day, to all the amazing and inspirational women I know.
Keep sparkling and never let anyone dull your light ✨️

That means if more women attend screening, we can save more lives from breast cancer. But the NHS target for how many women should be screened for breast cancer has just been missed for the fourth year in a row. If we want to s...

Breast screening saves lives.
Breast cancer in women is now 1 in 7
Please attend your breast screening appointment. I meet women every week, and if it hadn't been for this amazing FREE service, they tell me they would not be here still.
If you have missed your invitation, contact your doctor or the breast screening department at City Hospital.
1 in 7 women are now diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast Screening can help to find breast cancers when they are too small to see or feel. Early detection saves lives, so please attend your appointment when it is your turn to be called, and you have received an invitation in the post. Thank you.
