A not for profit volunteer based organisation in East Devon, we are available to local woodland owners to assist with a range of woodland management activities in return for some or all of the felled timber, some of which goes to East Devon Log Bank.
As the year draws to a close, we’d like to say a huge thanks to all players - who enabled us to award almost £580 million to over 11,500 community groups across England in 2023.
From helping children develop their cooking skills in Cornwall to tackling homelessness this Christmas in Leyland, we’ve supported communities to tackle the issues that matter to them in a way that works for them.
In case you missed it - groups can now apply for up to £20,000 across two years through our flagship small grants programme, National Lottery Awards for All. This significant change supports our ambition to invest most in places, people and communities experiencing poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

Lovely winter gathering, sharing food and a good blether
Great team effort today in the sunshine!
Final day of hedge laying for the at Aylesbeare Common. It was a great project that has enhanced the habitat of the area in line with the charity's conservation plan, and at the same time furthered the traditional craft of hedge laying.
We are eternally grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and all the players for providing funding to enable us to continue our work in supporting those in need and suffering from fuel poverty.
📢 After a challenging winter for many, we’re grateful for the support of National Lottery players enabling us to award almost £133 million National Lottery funding to over 2,400 community groups in England! 🎉
This vital funding will support the things that matter to communities and help them meet local challenges, cost-of-living pressures and the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
From choirs to baking, we’ve seen real commitment and innovation from our grant recipients in direct response to community needs, from mental health support to tackling social isolation.
