You may have noticed changes to our services and our new Family Hub name.

Kent Family Hubs offers support to children, young people, and their families. They provide a single place to go for information and make it easier for you to get the services you need throughout your family journey - from newborns to 19-year-olds or up to 25-year-olds with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). Kent Family Hubs are designed so you and your family can thrive.

Have Your Say Half Term Activity Morning!
Join us in May half term for a morning of Lazer Tag, arts, crafts & games at Future Survival, Gravesend. This fully funded event is open to young people aged 11 – 18 years with SEND and will take place on Thursday 30th May from 10.30am – 1.30pm. Lunch and drinks will be provided for young people. Places are limited, sign up by Monday 26th May at https://forms.office.com/e/RRx2fAiiZe

Have Your Say activity days provide an opportunity for young people to join in some fun activities, make new friends, play games whilst talking about the things which matter to you.

As well as half term events, we have a monthly Have Your Say Forum for young people aged 11 – 18 years who are passionate about making a difference for young people with SEND. If you would like more information or to get involved sign up at https://forms.office.com/e/wJza7w53cp

Dartford Family Hub - Just to advise that there will be no groups running at our centres during bank holiday week between 27th - 31st May 2024.

We look forward to seeing you again at our groups week commencing 3rd June 2024.

Oakfield Family Hub - Have a look at the fun learning activities in Active Tots from last Thursday with Sim, Katie and Amanda.

Come along to Active Tots on Thursdays 9:30AM-10:30AM and 11:00AM-12:00PM.

Our sessions can get busy, so to avoid disappointment and to make sure you get a place please arrive 5 minutes before the session starts.

Virtual Parent and Carer Feedback Groups

Join our virtual Parent and Carer Feedback Groups, known as Parent Carer Panels, to help us improve services for families in your area.

You can share your views on your experiences of using the Family Hub services and have your say to improve these services for families across Kent.

The next session is running on Thursday 23rd May 12.30-1.30pm.
The topic of focus will be Speech and Language.
We will be looking at the new Speech and Language section on the Family Hub website and exploring practical tips and support available to families.

8th December 2023 - Dartford Children's Centre - Postponed Road Works Update near Knockhall Chase area of Greenhithe which will affect visitors driving to Knockhall Children Centre

Please be aware that some of the road closures that was due to take place between November and December 2023 happening near our Knockhall Children Centre were postponed and will now be starting from the first week in January 2024: -

From 1st week in January 2024 for approximately 5 weeks - Abbey Road and Alexander Road – roads will be closed around SGN work areas.

Knockhall Road – between the junctions of Knockhall Chase and Lanes Avenue, for approximately 5 weeks.

Whilst the roads are closed, there will be signed diversions routes in place and access will be kept for residents and businesses.

Our Story

The Dartford Children's Centre's provides groups and services for families who have children under the age of 5 years.

Each centre offers different services, including:

•antenatal classes
•baby clinics
•support with breastfeeding
•support with parenting and speech and language
•drop-in sessions for parents and children
•services for children with special needs and disabilities
•opportunities for families to get involved with volunteering and designing services
