Thankfully got this small project out to customer in time for Christmas.

Maestro is a stunning new collection of printed velvet upholstery fabrics. The name Maestro means master, and these prints have been inspired by some of the Old Masters of Art, such as Rembrandt Gauguin and Goya. There are 11 different jacquard designs in total including abstracts, florals and botanicals.

As well as cosy winter wood burning fires indoors, they now have this fantastic 'al fresco' part covered dining area outside. Looks fabulous and all works completed by ourselves including structural steel pagoda and all weather furniture. A must visit destination this Spring/Summer.

We donate leather offcuts from our bespoke seating products and they are expertly recycled into fashionable handcrafted handbags by a local charity.

This seating going out to a restaurant to match up to sections that were originally installed in 2016. Fortunately we were still able to procure some of the original fabric.

Primarily your job role and training will be based around industrial sewing machine use but other duties will include, pattern cutting, basic upholstery assembly, foam cutting and more.

Based at our Cwmbran production facility, as part of our small team of skilled craftsmen. Our company manufacture bespoke seating for a number of high street Restaurant brands such as Nandos and we also manufacture high quality van seat coverings Vanupuk for a number of UK van leisure conversion companies. We do expect applications from highly motivated individuals, willing to learn quickly, be punctual and hard working.
We operate from a modern 6000 sq ft industrial unit in Cwmbran, employing no more than 20 people.

Phil James Upholstery have been established in Cwmbran for over 30 years and specialise in bespoke joinery and upholstered seating for high street brands such as Nandos. A subsidiary of the company is Van-UP which specialises in van seat design and upholstery for major UK van conversion specialists.

The company is very much a traditional manufacturing workshop but equipped with modern CNC routing machinery and recently invested in high level CNC sewing machines for van seat patterns and other upholstery applications. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with transferable skills. On-site training will be offered to develop and manage:
- Social media accounts
- simple CAD drawings for CNC routing production
- CAD development of patterns to process CNC stitching machinery
- Set up of virtual meetings
- Managing Gmail office suite and email
- Assisting and assembling Basic design visual presentations etc.

It is not essential that you have previous work placed experience but an understanding of the above expectations is necessary and you should be able to demonstrate knowledge of software packages such as Sketch Up, CAD, photoshop, V Carve or similar products.

This upholstery project making its' way to Cardiff University, as part of a pod type co work and meeting seating area. Collaboration with the joinery contractor and architect team to create a design look that was both good looking and can be easily maintained.

Very nice fabric and leather combination with oak legs, fabric enhanced by leather piping to edges. This seating being delivered out next week.

This seating project really stretching the limits of space we have in our workshop. It gets assembled and checked and then taken apart again ready for transport to site.

Skilled upholsterer to work in modern Cwmbran industrial unit. It is not essential that you can sew, but it is necessary that you have good understanding of upholstery and can take on numerous challenges. Our work involves quite simple upholstery of domestic home furniture and mostly complex bespoke upholstery projects for high street Restaurant brands, plus regular van seat upholstery work for UK van conversion specialists. We will pay very good rates for experienced upholsterers.
