Let us capture the small details of your big day! Please note, these prices are for weddings within a 50 mile radius of York.
We take tremendous pride in our work and our prices are based on the time and care we’ll be putting into the finished product. We don’t have rigid price packages, we prefer to be more flexible so that you get a video or series of videos that are tailor-made for you and capture the parts of the day most important to you. We have two options which we use as a jumping-off point; you tell us if there’

Jay and Adam will spend an hour filming with you, and you’ll receive a video bundle, including content formatted for your socials. This is open to absolutely anyone who wants to showcase something, for example:

It was a real privilege to be involved in one of these projects and to be entrusted with someone's personal story.
On the 80th anniversary of D Day we want to pay our respects to the veterans we have worked with over the last few years. On this day in 1944, Codename Operation Overlord commenced, with 156,000 Allied Troops landing by sea and air on 5 beaches in Normandy.
On Saturday, we premiered the short film In The Footsteps of Hank Haydock - verbatim stories of war from Dennis 'Hank' Haydock. Before this was made, it was a live play - socially distanced during covid in Duncombe Park, Helmsley
We had the honour of having veterans Doug Petty, Sid Metcalfe, and Ken Cooke (pictured here with actor George Stagnell) in the audience of this play, alongside Gloria, the wife of the late Ken Smith.
We are also pleased to have their stories told at Yorkshire Air Museum as part of a trail. Those important stories are currently also on our YouTube, and they deserve to be heard wherever you may find them.

Here's a peek into the process! We've launched straight into 2024 with an edit on KPOW!, a short film written by . It's based on the experiences of .ntalk2021 and others as they've gone through cancer treatment.
Shot over one day, It's hoped the short film will help doctors and health care professionals be more considerate to those with cancer and help the public be more empathetic.

I'm really excited to share the highlights video of Ameena & Asad's special day. It was such a nice project to work on - photogenic people, delicious food and a great atmosphere - a wedding videographer's dream! I also got to attend the mehndi a couple of days beforehand and meet the bride's family, which was a real privilege - if you've not seen the highlights video from that, check our posts from last year! 🤩

Was this our most disappointing wedding? 😤
We'd heard a rumour that Paige and Sam were going to do the "Dirty Dancing lift" as part of their first dance, but Sam had a wrist injury so it didn't happen. What a let down! 😆 Seriously though, Paige and Sam couldn't have been more lovely and their wedding was super romantic 👩❤️💋👨 - check out that kiss as they leave the ceremony! 😍

If you had to find someone to give a talk on the topic 'Finding Joy and Resilience in Exercise' who else could possibly be more appropriate than the iconic Mr Motivator??
You may have seen earlier this month that we had the pleasure of teaming up with InkBlot Films and Mr Motivator to shoot a series of exercise videos for Saga Spaces. A week later we were invited back to Derrick (we're on first name terms now)'s house to set up a live streamed talk he was giving with Gavin Ramjaun. Despite a rubbish start to the morning (Jay's car was vandalised), it dramatically improved with a shoot day with the one and only Mr Motivator and his badass team of Motivators.
If I start putting in the hours now, hopefully I'll be in such good shape when I hit 70! Also, is this the first ever video shoot to finish ahead of schedule??
It's always a blast to team up with InkBlot Films and getting to work with EY3 Media for this Saga project was a real joy - thanks for having me along!
Special thanks to Anna and the Saga team for looking after us on our visit to the city, as well as the chaps at Manchester Hall who went above and beyond.

Hello, Adam here.
As someone who's not part of the LGBTQ+ community, when Pride month rolls around I often feel uncertain about what to post - I worry about using outdated words or looking like I'm using it to promote my business, and being called out for it. Sometimes I'm tempted to say "it's not worth the stress, I'll sit it out this year". But people from the LBGTQ+ community don't have the luxury of sitting it out.
Over the last few years, the UK has slipped down the ranking for LGBTQ+ rights in Europe and we have seen an increase in hate crimes directed towards the community.
In the last 12 months:
- 21% of LGBT people have experienced a hate crime or incident because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity
- 41% of trans people have experienced a hate crime or incident because of their gender identity
It doesn't feel like there's a huge amount that a small videography company can do, but being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community is important to us. We want everyone to know that Special Day Films will always welcome and accommodate everyone from the community.

We've been working with Inkblot Films to shoot a documentary for Next Door But One and as a part of this we've been able to sit in on a couple of performances of Operation Hummingbird. Our Story
The three of us have been making wedding videos together since 2005 and we recently realised that our favourite jobs are the ones where the couples have put their own stamp on things. So we decided that we really wanted to meet more and more couples with the desire to make their big day, THEIR big day.
For this reason, every wedding we now film is tailored entirely to you and the things that you’re passionate about, whether that’s a love of all things rock & roll, offbeat love stories, or simply a determination to throw out the clichés and have a wedding day that’s as individual as you are.
