the sweetest bride amy married her love bill in a beautiful garden ceremony at one of my favourite little spots at woodend barn in banchory ~ they were blessed with the perfect weather too!

amy’s dress was just beautiful, i loved all the embroidered flowers on it & so obviously needed a colourful bouquet to go with it 🌸 rebeccah very kindly cut all the flowers from her plot to match it perfectly!

thank you amy for sharing your lovely pics from loving all the pretty detail shots of the flowers!

this lovely autumnal saturday brought us back to for fiona & joe who said their i do’s in the beautiful walled garden inFront of a big arch full of golden & orange goodies

fiona wanted a big beautiful bouquet full of soft autumnal colours & lots of textures to match her gorgeous bronze bridesmaids dresses and i think they went perfectly if i say so myself 🍁🧡🍂

autumn is definitely my favourite season for all the gorgeous textures us florists can get our hands on 🍂

another fun day with a fabulous set of suppliers

is it reeeeally the time to be talking about this already?! i’m still in denial that it’s the middle of october & i think most wedding suppliers will agree that we’ve all blinked and summer & the core of wedding season is coming to end and what a summer that was! i think i can safely say for everyone that we are EXHAUSTED

the next few weeks are finally bringing me a bit of time to have a well earned rest & an opportunity to get myself, my house & my diary organised for another couple of busy months ahead before the end of 2023

so with that i have finally organised some dates for a few wreath classes which some people have been asking for since july (yes JULY! sorry if you have emailed about wreaths & i haven’t replied i wasn’t ready to accept it was coming yet 🙈)

i’m not doing a lot this year so if you would like to try & come along, please pop a 🩷 below and i will message you details this weekend

* please note no spaces will be confirmed until full payment has been received ~ this is also non-refundable

there will be availability for private group & small mixed session

thank you as always for keeping me busy & i can’t wait to meet some new & see some lovely familiar faces very soon # # #

p.s. i will also be making some wreaths to sell this year and these will be advertised closer to the time ❤️

I can truly say, I walked out of here today, totally uplifted !
What an atmosphere in this beautiful building, in the heart of the city....... the singing, the music, and the choir.......lost for words!
...more from the new Mr & Mrs Duff later on!

Beautiful blooms too, by Flowers by Lilybet at Gerrard Street Baptist Church

so as many of my past couples will know, after your wedding (when required) we always try to bundle up as much as we can for you to take home or give to guests so you get the most out of your flowers

sometimes this isn't always possible, especially if you are from overseas and everyone is flying home shortly afterwards, which was the case with this weeks wedding! so we asked about and once we had dismantled everything, we delivered a huge amount of the flowers to a care home in edinburgh and we got sent these photos of what the residents got up to that afternoon & it made our day!

a few more pics from some of the may weddings i posted the other day but this time of the ceremony spaces ~ a collection of different arches, pedestal & meadow arrangements all used to help transform the blankest of canvasses into a beautiful backdrop to your wedding ceremony

we’ve got so many pretty weddings coming up this summer to make flowery backdrops for & are always adding to our collection of items to fill with flowers & decorate your wedding with ✨ cannot wait to get to use these very soon!

you guys voted for some spring weddings & also decided may counted as spring but there was also a lot of chat in the dm’s about the flower types 🌸🌷 so we came to a general agreement that the spring wedding flowers were lots of poppies, tulips, ranunculus, muscari, narcissi etc and most of the may weddings were packed full of peonies which we (myself & my gorgeous may brides who messaged) decided that they were more summery & also there was too many of them to include in one post! so now i have to do one more post! (two in three days who even am i?!) 🤣

so if you are planning a wedding in march ~ april (let’s call it early spring 😜🌷) here’s a bit of flower inspo for you! 💕

one week ago on a beautiful late summers day at meldrum house saw these two tie the knot under an arch full of beautiful summer blooms with the tiniest autumnal hint 🍏 sarah dressed her girls in the gorgeous sage & let me choose colours to go so we went for a soft mix of pastels in the prettiest flowers we could find ~ my favourites are the apples, snowberry. zinnias, cosmos & anemones from which give it the pièce de résistance alongside those gorgeous kiera roses from

congratulations & happy one week married to you both and thank you for putting your trust in us and allowing us to be a small part of your special day 🤍

i love when a bride isn’t scared of colour and so when i saw kara’s enquiry form screaming for all things colour and i quote…

“i am giving you full control! just COLORS! love colors! I’m clueless when it comes to flowers so i will give you my "vision board" and then completely trust you with the rest!”

after that i knew we could have fun with this wedding!

i had never met or even spoken to kara before i met her at her wedding on wednesday & she didn’t have a clue what we had planned for her but oh wow everything that her & lisa had organised for the day came together just perfectly!

the wedding breakfast took place in the the ballroom and the beautiful stationary from with the blue glassware and brass & gold touches from really made the bright flowers really pop! i love the flow of colour throughout this room!

this was such a fun wedding to be part of ~ an amazingly cool & so enthusiastic wedding party, a dream supplier list & what’s not to love about flowering a beautiful scottish fairytale castle for the dream bride from texas

for the ceremony in the gold room i really wanted to create something grand that would really give kara the wow factor when she walked in so we went full on Bridgerton vibes with urns full of flowers & cascading foliage with mini arrangements to match down the aisle ~ i think from your reaction we heard about we got this just right 😜
