I'm passionate about ensuring that I am as environmentally friendly as I can possibly be, with the wood I use coming from either naturally fallen trees, reclaimed or personally selected wood from FSC approved sources. I have always contributed in some way to helping our planet and since I started Lily Wood Ltd, for every order I complete I buy 5 trees from moretrees.eco to help offset any carbon foot print that I might make. From start to finish, the only oils, stains, varnishes, paints and any other wood treatments that I use, are completely safe to the environment, they are all bee friendly and also friendly towards other insects too. Your furry family members are safe too, so even if your beloved pet decides to chew what I have made for you, the products won't harm them. Raw and natural solid wood is just beautiful, which means the appearance of each item I make will be unique, bursting with its own character, the grains, knots, tones and imperfections enhanced using 100% natural material, making them truly unique in their own special way. Making them the perfect way to bring a fantastic presence of warmth and a real touch of character to any room of your home or office, or an ideal gift for someone you care about. I also offer a fully bespoke service, so if you would like something specific or maybe one of my creations in a different size or finish, just let me know and I will be able to bring your ideas to life for you.

When I was a little boy, as a family we went on woodland walks and basic camping holidays, and as i've grown over the years my love, huge appreciation, respect for the amazing planet and eco system that I live within has grown and grown and grown. Now I'm older, I take my own children with me, showing them the amazing planet we live on and teaching them how important it is for us all to look after and nurture it. From seeing ants or bees busily working away, a flower open day by day, or seeing the magnificent trees change and grow throughout the seasons, it makes me feel incredibly humble to be part of such an incredible and essential cycle, one that needs to be nurtured and protected as much as possible. I have always loved making things out of wood, whether it be in wood work lessons at school or making things at home, its where I'm happiest and content. Situations over the last year or so have meant that i've had to change what I was doing for a career, but what? so instead of just making items in my spare time for friends, family and for bespoke orders, I made the decision and took a leap of faith to start my own business based around my wood work and environmental passion.
