Due to a bank holiday being announced on Monday 19th for the queens funeral we have decided that we will be closed for walks, boarding is not affected.

Changing up your dogs walking routes can improve your dog's health and happiness! ✨

Changing up those routes means your dog will be getting all new sniffs and it is how they learn about their environment. 👍

Have you got a fluffy friend that is just one big ball of energy? 🐕

If not suitably tired, high energy dogs can resort to them finding other ways to entertain themselves such as excessive barking, digging or chewing. 🥲

Here are a few tips on how to tire out those lively hounds:

🐾 Play brain stimulating games or toys, something like a kong bone or puzzle toys where the treats are hidden are fab ways to mentally stimulate them.

🐾 Playing fetch on an incline. Having them fetch their favourite ball on a hill can be good way to get some exercise for your energetic pooch.

🐾 Book in with us on one of our adventure walks. One of the best ways to tire out a lively fluffy friend is exercise. With us they will experience new locations that will be mentally stimulating as well as playing with all their other fluffy friends.

September already, this year is going so fast! 🫣

We hope you have all had a great summer, we are excited to get into our autumnal walks and see different locations around Northumberland with your fluffy friends! 🙌

Dog socialisation has said to have helped pooches when they need to head into the dreaded vets for routine check and jabs. The socialisation of your dog can help with strangers and new places, which means your visit might be less troublesome.👏

Did you know dogs sweat through their paws?

The inner layer of skin on a dog’s paw contains sweat glands – these transport perspiration to the outer layer, cooling the hot dog down as well as preventing the pads from drying out. And like humans, if a dog is nervous or stressed their paws will also exude moisture.😅
