The Buttmonkies
High octane old school classic rock covers. This four piece hard rocking covers band based in the South West of England are a band with pedigree.
They perform their amazing set of proper old school rock with skill and dedication. it simply rocks. Vlad, Dirk, Vigo, Dave - The four silly sods of the rock apocalypse.
Ruddy heck, another great crowd, another top night.
Thank you Gloucester Road Conservatives Club in Trowbridge for making us so welcome and singing along so loudly.

God save the King…… @ The Stallards Trowbridge
Ballet has never been on my list of things to do however I have a curious mind so I thought why not give it a go.
The Birmingham hippodrome is a great auditorium, the sound was top notch.
Orchestral arrangements of Sabbath classics worked amazingly well remaining dark and menacing Punctuated with a performer playing guitar on stage and ozzy's disembodied voice echoing around the theatre.
The voice overs (recordings from years of interviews) are funny and meaningful.
The ballet was simply staged with moody lighting and loads of dry ice. I don't know how good the dancing was, I have nothing to compare it to, I can, however, say the grace, power and control displayed appeared super human. How the Hell do people move like that?
A treat at the end was Mr Iommi, who had been in the audiance, appeared on stage to end the show with paranoid. Legend....
Age dictates your experiences and my first memory of actively seeking out and listening to Sabbath would have been the Dio years, I soon found the back catalogue and my love of the music that helps define who I am began.
Its not often that 4 working class people can change the world for ever.
Black Sabbath I salute you.
🤘🤘🤘
Thank you to Dan and everyone at the Rolleston, Swindon for having us do our thing last night.
The death metal convention downstairs was flippin awesome, our small contribution to the night with some classic rock and metal in the upstars bar was, in comparason, a chill out zone.
Thank you again you beautiful, crazy metal monsters.
Ready to rock....
Thank you to 'Be like Will' for the sound check footage...

Mikes world at rehearsals.
A bit of the classic Almighty 1991 track, Free N Easy.
Last night, the 4 silly sods of the Rock apocalypse did their first run-through of a classic tune, but which tune you ask?
Released as a single in Feb 1983. It got to 28 in the charts. It was from this bands last studio album.
It's tight, it's fast, it's bloody hard.
When it was suggested as a cover vläd went quiet, put his head in his hands and said " that'll need some serious fingerfudgery and brain mungling to get anywhere near Johns fiddly guitar bits"
What song???
It will or course NOT be a note perfect photocopy of the original as is the way of the Buttmonkies.
All will be revieled at a gig soon....
Saxon…. Yeah 🤘
