DUCS is a group of students interested in developing their bodyweight exercise skills. You are welcome regardless of skill level, age or student status.

Hi Team! Sadly, we do not have a session this evening but since the weather is lovely, those who are keen for a workout could go and check out the pull up and dip bars by the race course or in Wharton Park! I am pleased to confirm we have found an exec for next year and will commence our free workouts again at the beginning of the next academic year. For now, we hope everyone has a lovely summer and finds a way to keep working out over the break - we will share occasional suggestions of workouts on YouTube to help you with that. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to our sessions this year and who has supported the society - we hope you will join us again. Hi team, tomorrow afternoon we are running a little bit of a different session: the lovely Kristyna is running a free stretch class from 6-7 pm, in the Vane Tempest Room in the students union. Mobility is very important for a number of key calisthenics skills, and if you usually don't get a chance to stretch, this could be a great opportunity to change that. Hi Team! We are having a free strength session with an option to stay a bit longer to work on skills this evening. The session will be a 25 minute full body workout with variations to suit different levels of ability and will start at 6:15 pm. As usual, we are running the session in the Vane Tempest Room in the student's union - there are no tickets, simply come along if you would like to join us.

We need to nominate a new treasurer, secretary and president to keep the society running next year. You can do as much or as little as you like if you join, but we can't keep running our sessions if no-one steps forward, as Johanna is now a member of staff and not a student anymore (she is still happy to help run sessions next year). Even if you have very little time, being part of a society exec can look great on your CV, and we do have some funds to spend on new equipment as well. It will be a strength session consisting of exercises aimed at working your back and shoulder muscles, including some mobility exercises to counteract too many hours spent in front of your laptops. Hi team, our session tomorrow will be a mixed skills session - it will start at 6:15 pm in Vane Tempest as usual and will have different variations of different calisthenics skills to suit various levels of ability. These will include push up variations, a chance to work on handstands and headstands, L-sit pull ups and flag holds. There will be different variations for exercises to suit different levels of fitness. Hi Team, welcome back to the society this year! Sorry for the delay in announcing our first class - this was due to a delay in room booking confirmations from the Student's Union. Our first session will be a mixed ability session on Friday the 13th, starting at 6:10 pm in the Vane Tempest Room in Dunelm House (Student's Union). The session will be about half an hour long and act as an introduction to the society - after this first session, we will transition to more structured workout and skill based sessions, which will be announced on a weekly basis, and take place in the same place at the same time unless otherwise specified. Hi team, our session this evening will focus on a full body workout followed by the usual handstand and flag work. The session will be in the Vane Tempest room at 6.15 pm as usual.

Please consider running for an exec position if you have enjoyed the society - Johanna will not be able to keep running the society on her own unless there is additional help, and would be great to see someone else take over. Message our page if you are interested in joining the exec.

Hi team, our session will run as normal this evening - we will start our workout at 6.15 pm in Vane Tempest. There will be a 10 - 15 min structured full body workout, followed by free practice using our equipment - Work on Flags, Handstands, Deadlifts and L-sits. If anyone fancies a trip to the pull up bars after the session, feel free to go - this would be self-directed practice as Johanna does not have time to run this part of the session this evening.
