I need motivation.

It’s getting close... Just 10 days away from the ‘beast of a swim’ as someone put it this morning 😱😅😂

On Sunday July 7th, I’ll be swimming 5k in the sea (pray for calm waters please!) in aid of Afghanistan and the awful troubles they have been going through since the Taliban took over .. And we and the US did the inglorious exit in 2021.

Often the lovely Afghan people living here in the UK say to me when I ask what message they’d like shared:

“Please don’t forget Afghanistan!”🙏🏼 🇦🇫

The donations go straight to the people so they can buy food. £50 can feed a family of 6 for a week or more.

This morning I swam for just over 50 minutes and reached my target of 2.5k.

WeW, that’s long... 😅

Not really thinking ahead to Sunday, and am just literally trying to complete the course.

It’s a definite out of comfort zone activity.... And I do have a lot of butterflies if I sit and think about it. 🦋🦋🦋

It's the Brighton Swim Challenge where I've (crazily) elected to do 5k in the sea, not a still as millpond lake like I usually do.
