Sarah Sollom - Art
Now based in Taunton but will also be exhibition with the Cricklade Art Group
A year ago I was feeling defeated with my art but friends have encouraged me to keep going. I have some good lighting and magnifiers which make it possible. I have regained some momentum but it all takes longer! Here is my latest, mixed media, 'Queuing in the Rain'.
Okay, my journey into abstract continues, haha! Not ready to let go yet. I think this is called 'Night Watch' but I'm always interested in other people's ideas.
Another collage which I'll put into our exhibition next week. Ideas for a title please?
It is challenging for me to produce artwork, with MD (a progressive eye condition) but I am trying to hold onto art, my favourite activity with my work becoming more abstract. Here is a collage I did today. I needed help with sticking the pieces down but I designed and created it. Can anyone please suggest a title?
'Rush Hour'

We are looking forward to to welcoming lots of old friends and newcomers to our Summer Exhibition.
'Drifting and Dreaming' Acrylic on box canvas. The blue background is not part of the picture and if you click on the picture it looks much better!
My latest collage. I am moving into abstract art and I am constantly aware of time passing! Please suggest a title for this.
My eye condition (MD) is making my art work very challenging! I am lucky to have a kind, patient husband who repairs the damage that I do as I work - stray lines, splodges etc.! I am unwilling to call it a day with my art as it is a big part of my life.
So here is one for the Cricklade Art Exhibition in June. 'Life on Stilts', inspired by the Mekong Delta.
This will go in the Cricklade Art Exhibition in June.

Having moved to Taunton, I was so delighted to be invited to take part in the Cricklade Art Exhibition again. It will be like old times! I hope to see lots of familiar faces there.
Hello friends. It has been ages since I last posted anything. I moved to Taunton in October last year and it was a long time before I could access my art materials, I also suffered some vision loss but I am learning to adapt. I am taking part in this exhibition, so if you are sufficiently local, please come and take a look!
A few people have asked if I have any new art to show. Since the Autumn I have done nothing as we downsized to a smaller house and I haven't yet sorted out a painting area. I will soon be back so please watch this space!
