Bro science has previously led us to believe that estrogen is bad for hypertrophy outcomes and the use of AI'S is required to decrease serum estrogen levels, which, carry harmful risks of their own.

Evidence suggests that this is not the case, rather, one would be in a more favourable position with higher estrogen, as long as the androgen to estrogen profile is not skewed.

Post L5/S1 herniation, I've struggled to find an effective way of challenging the hip extensors.

However, after experimenting with various hip extention movements I have found this to be incredibly effective in both challenging the extensors as well as the glutes.

The brace as set up allows greater stability. Ensure to maintain an isometric contraction throughout movement whilst driving hip's into brace.

I've added a daisy chain to the cuff to manipulate line of force as well as minimise degree of hip flexion.

This would be an excellent addition to any program injury or not.

I thank for the introduction to this movement and for his post regarding this movement 🙏
