An Ruadh-Stac, another Corbett I hadn’t been up for over 30 years. Much easier than I remember, just a wee bit of easy scrambling involved. Superb wee mountain.
(updated the page on website : https://www.stevenfallon.co.uk/an-ruadh-stac.html)

The first time I hiked up Little Wyvis many years ago (infact decades ago) you couldn't approach from the south-west so we tagged this wee peak on to a hike up nearby Ben Wyvis. After a change in the estate ownership and with land access reform, you now can. So time for a visit there - here's the route I took last week ....

Some folks have asked me to keep the hill routes on the website, so will do meantime. Just added a route - Leathad an Tobhain from Glen Feshie - a fine hill route for a mountain bike up a remote Corbett in the western Cairngorms.

‘The Fara’. Corbett hill just shy of Munro height over looking Loch Ericht and Dalwhinnie. Out for a wee hill run on a circular route.
Johnny Walker was leading the Winter Skills event at the weekend. Great time had by all, tho you wouldn’t think it from the pics, but wind was the main challenge on the days !
That’s not only the last Winter Skills event we’re doing, but also with the business closing at the end of the month, the last time Johnny and I will be working together, kinda sad !

After 10 years being in the mountains of Scotland meeting some lovely people and sharing some great experiences, I've decided to wind-up my wee guiding business at the end of the financial year.
Everyone who had a booking on an event after the end of March should now have been contacted and all deposits returned. The guides and myself will honour all bookings for January, February and March, though we won't take any more bookings.
The events that were in place after the end of March are still being delivered, but directly by the guides themselves - if there was anything you wanted to get booked onto, let me know and I'll pass you onto the relevant person.
Hope to see you on a hill or mountain sometime !
Exploring the hills above Aviemore !
Up on Cairngorm today with a fine cover of snow ! Is winter now here ?
Ben Loyal today ! New route for me, approaching from the north near Tongue.
Strathfarrar yesterday ! I was in to check out access for this coming weekend and thought I’d go for a wee shifty up Beinn a Bhathaich Ard. First time up this Corbett in 10 years, and on a new track leading up from dam. A tad wild on summit!
We're hiking into the immense wilderness that is the Monadh Liath in mid-November, bagging 4 Munro summits while keeping our eyes peeled for wildlife ! And a place has just become available ! If you're interested, see this : https://www.stevenfallon.co.uk/guide-monadh.html
