Our GP trainee's along with other junior doctors, are taking industrial action over a real terms pay cut of more than 26% since 2008. As our GP Registrar's are not in practice from Thursday 13th July to Tuesday 18th, we will have fewer appointments than normal. If you think your problem can be dealt with on a non strike day, we'd be grateful if you could call back. This third round of strike action we finish at 7am on Tuesday 18th July at 7.00am. You may have heard the news about high rates of infections caused by Group A Streptococcus, such as Scarlet Fever. Group A is not normally serious but it can cause complications in some cases. You may find the link below helpful

More than half of veterans (52%) have a long-term illness or disability, yet research suggests many may be reluctant to seek support for their issues, particularly if they feel they may not be understood.

With an estimated two million veterans in the UK, a GP practice, like ours, may see a veteran patient every day on average. Being able to identify and support veteran patients is crucial to ensuring best outcomes, as research shows that some veteran patients may face different health challenges to the general population.
It’s fantastic being able to make a positive impact on our veteran community. The accreditation process is simple and quick and offers plenty of training, information and guidance for the whole practice to help us better meet the needs of veteran patients.
