Honoured to chat with Angelle Joseph this evening on BBC Radio Suffolk. Catch our conversation around 7:45pm as we discuss my recent Ben Nevis climb, Ipswich Half Marathon, music with Terror Mc as well as the charities I'm raising awareness for.
Focused and ready for tomorrow. Could I have done more regarding training - probably.
Am I worried? No because I know I can do it, the causes I'm doing this for, will get me through and the support of the Ipswich community cheering the runners will carry me through . let's do this 💪
Ipswich Half Marathon ready
Taking a break from running 🏃♂️. Next month will be a very busy month 😄
Today I will be running my first official event after more than 2 years away due to injury . Good luck to everyone else doing the Ipswich Twilight - let's do this . We've got this. This is just one of the many events I am doing for my charity - see link https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/peter-edwards-2?utm_medium=email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=20240726_
What a difference a week makes. Ran an extra km to make it a half marathon distance and still managed to cut my time by 16 minutes. In any case I'm just so glad I'm able to run again because after my injury with plantar faciitis in April 2022 which lasted nearly a year and a half, I thought it was over for me.
11 May 2024 Ipswich parkrun
Back doing the Park run - picked up some weight during my injury years - but glad to be back.

For 2024
May you be happy
May you be well
And may you be free from suffering 🙏💕
Be not afraid of going slowly.
Be afraid only of standing still.
10 rules to live by from probably one of the world's toughest runner.
Back in the day - my first longest run - about 25km
The long road back to former levels of fitness is hard and a struggle. But not giving up. Target is 5km next week and hopefully do the Clacton 10km in August 🙏🙏
The road to recovery is long - but can also be fun. Enjoying every minute of the process and journey and not just fixated on the day when I will be able to run again.
Been struggling with an injury and Plantar fasciitis since late April. . Can't even train with 'my little running buddy' at the moment. But i'll be back ... :)
