“I first attended sing and sign in 2015 with my eldest son, who started off in Stage 2. Being a bilingual family, I thought the classes would be useful to enable him to communicate with us and with our family who don’t speak English. He loved the classes and enjoyed all the songs and used a lot of the signs that he picked up. When I had my second son in 2019 I got him into Stage 1 when he was 6 months and before he was a year he was using lots of signs (more was a favourite!) and it was so exciting every time he picked up a new sign. I had my daughter in 2022 and again we began Sing and Sign at 6 months and she always looked forward to classes and used even more signs than my sons, and has her very own Jessie cat who she loves. I cannot recommend Sing and Sign enough, we’ve had Katy and Serena as our teachers over the years and they’re just incredible at what they do. Thank you all for giving my children the ability to communicate before the use of words, it’s really been an invaluable tool in our lives!”

We started the course to help with communication and it worked a treat! Within a matter of weeks my daughter was signing “more” (and still does) as well as knowing up and down. Day Four - how lucky am I to have such a fabulous team of teachers☺️
Today we say a big shout out to Leanne Roberts who has been part of our teaching team heading up our Billericay venue for 3 years, but has been a part of our Sing and Sign family for much longer after completing the programme with both of her gorgeous daughters.
Leanne is a conscientious, thoughtful and deceptively hilarious member of the team with a wonderful sense of humour.
I’m sure you’ll join with me in thanking her for her animated classes and commitment to the programme.

Kick starting our appreciation of our team week with Serena Allcorn who teaches for us FIVE days a week across Chelmsford, Basildon and Brentwood.
Nearly 6 years in our team but longer as part of our Sing and Sign family, her enthusiasm and energy is infectious.

🥰 Narrate your baby’s world 🌍
Babies learn language and vocabulary by hearing it in use. 👂 As we talk about in our Babes course for the youngest babies, one of the simplest, free and most natural ways we can boost our baby and toddler’s learning is to be the narrator to their world. 🥰
Talk to them about what you are doing, what they can see, hear and smell, what is happening to them and in the world around them - the simple everyday things as well as the unusual. It can be a tricky habit to get into to start with but soon it will become second nature and it is such a rewarding one for them. 😊
So why not focus this coming week on making an extra effort to describe your baby’s day 😍
