It’s never too late to start a new resolution. This year make it your aim to use a little bit less water by following our simple steps:

💧 Fix any leaking taps - a dripping tap can waste more than 60 litres of water per week.
💧 Fill a bowl with water to clean your dishes or vegetables instead of leaving the tap running.
💧 Fully load your washing machine when doing the laundry – a full load uses less water than two half loads
💧 Cover your outside taps and pipework with lagging during the winter – they can be prone to freezing and bursting
💧 Collect rainwater for reuse

As well as drinking water, we provide new developments with green water.

Green water is provided at a cheaper cost due to it being derived from rainwater runoff and treated wastewater, and can be used for tasks such as toilet flushing and garden irrigation.

It is an approach that has already been widely adopted in several countries, including Australia and the United States and was pioneered in the UK by Albion Water over a decade ago.

Could a leak be lurking in your loo? 🚽

Toilets account for 22% of the water you’ll use in a home and if one is leaking it could be wasting up to 400 litres of water a day.

Check by adding a few drops of food colouring in your toilet cistern.

Don’t flush the toilet for an hour or so - if the food colouring is still present after that time, you have a leak.
