🤩 Our new exhibition, Wance Upo A Time, is open!
For this exhibition, Jane Cockayne, Alex Purbrick and a collaboration of Shetland artists (Cilla Robertson, Alice Ritch and Ann Marie Anderson) have been working with Elders and children from Yell, Whalsay and Sandness to share local folklore and create new stories through writing, song and visual arts.
Come and visit - there's even some sound to accompany the visuals to make things more fun and immersive!💛
More folkstories and artwork from the project can be found at Shetland Library. The exhibition is curated by John Hunter.
This project is part of the Creative Islands Network, a Culture Collective programme funded by Creative Scotland and run by An Lanntair, Pier Arts Centre, Shetland Arts and Taigh Chearsabhagh

We are back to our normal opening times for August.

Calling all crafters! Our knitted waste panels are now available to purchase in our Lerwick shop only.
They are bagged in either Fair Isle or mixed designs and are weighed and priced. All are around 1kg and selecting or mixing bags is not possible unfortunately.
If you cannot visit our shop to purchase, you could do so by telephoning on 01595693114.
We do not have enough of a regular supply to list on our website. (They are error panels after all!)
