It is Bluebell season in Buttermere and this is just a friendly reminder that, as tempting as it is to stand amongst them, your photo will look just as good with your subject stood on the path next to them as modelled here by our happy sheepdog Cadi after doing her ewe and lamb checks.

It can take years for bluebells to recover from even the slightest trampling underfoot. If we protect them today, we can ensure that everyone has the chance to enjoy them in the future 💙

Great to be with Hiking Highs on this fab NetWalk from Glenridding.

Father and daughter team Georgia and Kevin from Hertfordshire went up Scafell Pike from Seathwaite via The Corridor Route. Low visibility and a bit windy near the summit, but still a great day! Having a guide with them meant lots of background chat about the mountain to really enhance the day.

It was a pleasure delivering a morning NetWalk hosted by Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand Solicitors.

We designed a lovely route for colleagues, clients, business contacts and even four legged friends to enjoy screen-free time away from their desks to reconnect. There were lively discussions and it was a gorgeous Spring day. It doesn’t all have to be heart pumping and leg burning challenges!

Well done to all the wonderful fundraisers for British Red Cross Events and British Red Cross who climbed Snowden with Adventure Trails!

The peak is 3,560 feet (1,085m).

It was a privilege to help you raise money for such an important charity.

Thanks so much to our cheerful guides led by Sean, David M, David A and Mark H (not in height order!) who looked after and encouraged the groups.

The Red Cross team Cara and Rosa were there at the end to say thank you. They took loads of finisher photos and presented lovely certificates of achievement.

A real pleasure to support all the participants fundraising in support of Sheffield Hospitals Charity. You've raised a tremendous amount on this significant hiking challenge including for the Jessop Wing (maternity), Spinal Injuries and Brearley Ward 7 (dementia services).

Everything the Charity does is about improving the treatment of patients and supporting NHS staff in all the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Now more than ever.

How many Peaks did you bag this weekend?

Saturday saw the second St John's Hospice Five/Ten Peaks hiking challenge around Coledale, The Lake District. The weather was kind to us and both teams worked hard on such a challenging route.

St Johns volunteer Chris impressed us all keeping pace with the fast younger folk in the 10 Peaks challenge group. Charlotte of SJH also showed grit and determination in her bagging 5 Peaks. A brilliant day - Well done all!

What a cracking day for Lynn and Faheema. They hiked Scafell Pike from Seathwaite via The Corridor Route.

A hiking challenge indeed - Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Swirral Edge is certainly spectacular.

This is more than just a walk.... it involves some tricky sections where you’ll need to use hands as well.

The rewards of dramatic sweeps on the sides of Striding Edge are certainly worth it though.

If you have wanted to take on this hike via the classic Edges, then coming on a guided hike with us and raising money for CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria is a brilliant combination!

Climbing Helvellyn via Striding and Swirral Edges is perhaps one of the most spectacular and iconic walks in the Lake District offering unrivalled views and a rewarding sense of achievement.

Our partners, Lancaster-based outdoor adventure providers Adventure Trails will be leading the walk which includes the summits of Birkhouse Moor, Striding Edge, Helvellyn, Swirral Edge and Catstycam, on Sunday 5th September.

In addition to the £30 fee for taking part, we are also asking walkers for a minimum sponsorship of £150 to help support the work we do providing free professional therapy for people affected by bereavement and cancer.

What a fantastic achievement on a tough trek challenge in typical changeable Summer Lake District weather for this group raising money for St John's Hospice.
