The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland, and from May the new Generation 10 NPLQ will be worth 8 UCAS points on completion — and is a fantastic foundation to a career in leisure!

Congratulations to all of the Medway Maritime, Gravesend & North fleet, Beachfield, Sittingbourne & Milton Swimmers who have competed as part of Kent Weald Swim Squad, in the past three National Arena Swimming League winning promotion to division 1. Second place tonight, and third overall in the final league standings. 👏👏👏

Our Junior squad had a great weekend at the Kent Junior Meet - Medway Pk, coming away with 2 golds, 3 silvers, 3 bronze, numerous medals for 4th-6th places and PBs all round for the team.

What a great weekend at Dover Whitecliffs Open bringing home 3 Gold 2 Silver and 5 Bronze, lots of PBs and great team spirit all round!

New parking charges threaten swimming club’s future The head coach of a 140-year-old swimming club says they could be forced to close after free parking was scrapped.

It's the 7th Beachfield Summer Open today at Medway Park!

What an amazing day at the Maidstone Summer development meet yesterday. Although we were all very hot our Beachfield and Tonbridge swimmers Archie, Sophie, Ethan, Chloe, Ciaran, Sophia, Jacob, Daniel, Max, Charlie, Inneke, Amelia, Isabelle, Lily, Charles, Ish*tha and Harry between them got 45 PB's ranging from 1 to 11 seconds and 20 medals 🏅

We have a joint team with Sittingbourne at the Millennium league in Tonbridge. This is development gala.

The KWSS Regional at Medway Park today and tomorrow.

Well done today to our swimmers, and those of Sittingbourne SC, in rd 1 of the Kent Junior League representing our joint team. Some great swims and licensed PBs. Against tough opposition, we came 7th. There was a good team spirit between swimmers of BSS and Sittingbourne. A huge thanks to the coaches, officials, TMs and hosts Saxon Crown.

Good luck to our swimmers in the Kent Junior League (U13) tomorrow who have been selected as part of a joint team with Sittingbourne swimmers. It is a licensed meet in Lewisham against some top teams. Beachfield 🍀

Coach Barry Smith is leading a starts and turns swim clinic, to help improve our techniques and we are excited 😊

Barry is a L3 coach with many years of experience and has coached many top national and international swimmers. He is a very charismatic and dynamic coach, and all the swimmers love his sessions!
