Attention Expectant Moms!
Did you know that getting vaccinated against whooping cough (pertussis) is a crucial step in protecting both you and your baby?
Pertussis is a highly contagious respiratory disease known for uncontrollable, violent coughing which can be extremely dangerous for newborns. The best way to shield your baby from this illness is through vaccination during pregnancy.
Here's why it's so important:
π‘οΈ Protects Your Newborn: Vaccinating during the third trimester (preferably between weeks 27 and 36) gives your baby antibodies directly through the placenta, providing them with early protection until they can receive their own vaccinations.
πΆ Early Immunity for Your Baby: Newborns are the most vulnerable to the severe effects of pertussis. Vaccination during pregnancy is the most effective method to help protect them from the start.

Early-stage prostate cancer may not exhibit noticeable symptoms. However, as the cancer progresses and begins to exert pressure on the urethra, symptoms may arise.
These can include increased frequency of urination, particularly at night, difficulty urinating such as a weak stream or needing to strain, and a sensation of incomplete bladder emptying.
It's crucial to note that symptoms of prostate cancer can resemble those of benign prostate conditions. If you experience any symptoms, it's essential to seek professional evaluation promptly.
Starting Monday 19th February, our telephone lines will be merged.
This means that both Highley and Bridgnorth patients can reach us through the same line.
Highley patients can now take advantage of our callback service, eliminating the need to wait in queue to speak with a receptionist. To utilise this feature, simply select 'option 5' when prompted and remember to confirm your telephone number using the # key.
