Evening everyone. Andy here.
It's with a heavy heart that we have to make this announcement. This year has been a more than difficult year for us. Caity has had difficult issues to deal with but thankfully is over coming them thanks to a lovely family and very supportive friends. I myself have had my own issues with my shoulder and still trying to recover from rotator cuff damage and we'll let's not dwell on the rest.
Anyway all that is left to say is Foenix are no more. It's the end of the road for us.
From it's conception I was there nearly 12 years ago. Numerous band line ups over the years BUT the last line up has been the best ever. A young Caity Lound walked into the rehearsal studio all those years ago, never sung in a proper band before and smashed it like every gig she did with us.
Jordan came to his first rehearsal and did the same every rehearsal and gig.
To each and every former member of Foenix, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for being on this journey. Black to Black rehearsal studios, thank you for being the only studio we have used and called home.
To everyone who has come out to see us play no matter how many gigs you've seen, thank you.
Our roadie Gary Hyslop, thank you for everything mate.
The venues and promoters we've worked with over the years thank you so much for having us play your venues and supporting us in return, Helen Taylor especially ( keep up the fantastic work you do for the Yorkshire music scene xx )
Finally our families, without your massive support this band wouldn't be what it had become.
It's been a fantastic journey and for me especially I made a dream come true after seeing a guy years ago on a bank holiday Monday in the trades club up there rocking the hell on his kit with his then band namely Christian Hayes, then of Coyote, now in Thor, Gods of Rock, thank you brother for inspiring all those years ago. I turned round to Kerry and said " I wanna do that again" , her reply... THEN DO IT.
That's why Foenix became a band, searching to find like minded people, but it happened.
I've gone on long enough but I'll sign off just saying from me (Andy), Caity, Tim and Jordan, thank you each and everyone of you especially if you've read this to the end 🍺

Sorry for the very late post. Its been one of those very busy Sundays.
Thank you to The Courtyard in Swinton for having us to play again. As usual an absolutely fantastic night. Steph, Craig and the bar staff did a sterling job as always.
Thank you to the regulars who always turn out to support us , The Courtyard and their local live music scene. Our loyal band of supporters ( families ) who travel to every gig, our love and thanks as always and finally the one and only Gary Hyslop ,our amazing roadie. Without him loading in, setting up and breaking down would be so much harder and longer, cheers mate 👍
So next time we will be at another great venue 18th March at The Travellers in South Kirkby.

Sorry for the late posting.
Old Town Hall in Wombwell you totally rocked last night. To say it wasn't a pay day weekend you came out and rocked. One of the hardest months between Christmas and New Year and you did us proud, The Old Town Hall and Wombwell proud. That's why we love playing there.
Thanks to all the bar staff, regulars and our travelling team of supporters for turning out.
Our roadie Gary Hyslop for always making loading in to loading out so much easier and quicker thank you as always mate. Till next time. Stay safe 🤘

Last night at the Tank in South Elmsall had it all, and what an absolutely fantastic night it was. Dancers, singers from an amazing crowd. A visit from Santa and pre birthday drinks for Jesus ( yes he was there. Maybe it was a bloke in fancy dress though!). Blokes out on a Christmas jumper night, how you kept them on all night is nothing short of a miracle with how full and warm the room was, but respect 🤘.
So thank you to each and everyone who came, danced and sang. Big shout out to the brilliant bar staff who kept the drinks flowing, to the regulars and our loyal travelling band of supporters, thank you as always ❤.
The Tank maybe a smaller club than most but the passion of those running it is way bigger than many WMC's around.
Finally as always to our roadie Gary Hyslop, thanks mate for making from loading in to loading out and everything in between much easier 👍.
So all that's left to say is have a great Christmas and we'll see you at the end of January for our next outing 🤘

What a night, those words don't do last night justice somehow.
The Old Town Hall in Wombwell never ever disappoints. Absolutely amazing crowd with some old faces from previous visits there too along with some new faces. Our usual band of loyal supporters ( family )coming along for our return gig since May.
Yes we had to cancel some gigs due to my shoulder injury which put me out for a couple of months but last night got me personally buzzing off the crowd and fuelled on adrenaline. A tad achy today but it was expected to be honest but feeling so good.
Thank you to all the bar staff who always do a sterling job. To Helen Taylor who is the best promoter we could wish to work with who works so hard behind the scenes to keep music live. To everyone who came and rocked and to our roadie, Gary Hyslop who makes setting up and kitting down so much easier and quicker.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Keep your eyes peeled for our next outing.

What a night in Wombwell. Great to see some old faces and new ones too.
The Old Town Hall was rammed.
Thank you to Jimmy , Rachel and the bar staff for their excellent service behind the bar as usual.
As normal big thanks to our travelling band of supporters who barely miss a gig and to the regulars who never disapoint with the turn out en mass.
It was a warm and sweaty gig and everything we had left on the stage.
Incidentally it was the best audience participation of Kids In America ever, so well done Wombwell.
Finally massive thanks as always to our roadie Gary Hyslop, you make life so much easier mate.

24 hours to go till we'll be setting up at The Travellers in South Kirkby. Come down for St George's Day for some classic Rock, Rock in general and some Rock twists on some songs.
Always a great night with Bev and the regulars so get yourselves down for the usual shenanigans 🤘

Despite it not been a good few weeks for us with covid in the camp, a car crash then a burst water main outside the venue recently , last night still went ahead. Covid clear, crash injuries sorted with pain killers ( sort of ) and Yorkshire water blocking the main road to repair the burst. Last night was awesome.
The Courtyard in Swinton never fails.
As always massive thanks to our travelling supporters and the regulars for always giving us a great reception and massive thanks to Steph and Craig and the staff at The Courtyard for having us back, it's always a pleasure.
We will be back later in the year with hopefully a few more new songs in the set seen as the new one went down well last night.

Last night saw us at a venue we've never played before but hopefully we will return to The Tank in South Elmsall again later this year.
Massive thanks to Louise for booking us and Rob and the bar staff. You all couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful and we loved playing for you last night.
Thank you as always to out travelling band of supporters who always give their support no matter what or where.

24 hours to go and we will be setting up for our first gig of 2022 at The Tank in South Elmsall.
This is the first of many so keep an eye out for future dates. The Tank is a new venue for us and hopefully we'll see you down the front 🤘
