At DT DANCE we are giving young dancers the time and care to grow and develop as a dancer in a safe and equally ambitious surrounding.

We have seen great progress in our students after the first 3 months already. It’s not a magic 🪄 trick though but rather detailed and aligned work.

We are delighted 🤩that the lovely will be leading a pre-professional Contemporary Masterclass this Saturday 11 November 1-3pm for

Monique is a current company member of and has been touring with their production of “Romeo & Juliet”. She has previously worked in various productions with the company as well as teaching at leading London Vocational Schools.

She also runs her own dance company

We are excited to have her back before she tours in the US.

How is this just 6 month ago??? It feels like two years and we have done so much since then.

This was the Matinee performance of a 2show day and we loved the reaction of the little ones to the applause 👏: zoom in to the little man centre right 🥰

What a 🩰term 💥 & dance 💝year

It has been an overwhelming academic year with the busiest 3 terms EVER.
Looking 👀 back at what we achieved this year would explain why.

Term 1 started with me planning, sorting a theatre 🎭 venue, allocating casts to each group, thinking of costume ideas, organising photographer 📸 & video 📹 , lighting ✨editing the music 🎶 with, administering the school and oh yes teaching loads of our classes at DT DANCE, whilst coaching Vocational levels at the RAD HQ. Not a slow start.
Luckily a wonderful team of teachers & guest teachers were there to help out where possible. Thank you 🙏 to ALL of you!

Term 2 followed with a manic 🤪January 3-week run up to the show: no Sundays, no time off at all! My home turned in to a costume department. There were papers and notes 📝 everywhere. But what a show we produced with COPPELIA! The BEST ❤️so far I’d say.

Term 3, started halfway through term 2 with deciding which students will enter exams and it’s been non stop 🛑 ever since; until yesterday 😂 when the last Vocational students took theirs.

Looking back l feel slightly 😵‍💫 but also very proud 😊of the journey that DT DANCE is embarking, whilst staying true to our ethos and values.

Onwards and upwards from here.

BUT first:
I wish you all a wonderful summer ☀️.

It's been an intense 💫and demanding time but your dedication in not only to learning the syllabus but understanding this beautiful artform is truly lovely to see😍

There have been some exhausting days, days where nothing worked, a couple of tears along the way
but hard work always pays off!

I couldn't be more proud 😊🌟

Now rest up well and put those 👣 up....until we meet at the ballet barre 🩰✨again.

Tomorrow we will say a fond farewell to our wonderful teacher Miss Linda. Linda has been an exceptional member of the DT Dance team since 2016.
Her attention to detail, knowledge and the love she has for movement in general transferred to our students.
She has taught classes, coached exams and choreographed for our shows and I know she will be missed be everyone dearly.

Linda will be hanging up her 🩰dance shoes with us to pursue a career in the Pilates and fitness industry and we wish her all the best of luck with her future career. She will always be welcomed with open arms by DT Dance, and we hope to sometimes still see her.
