1 day to go until Dazzle Edinburgh opens and here is our final exhibitor preview…

1. Misun Won -
South Korean born jeweller Misun is inspired by Korean traditional wrapping cloth ‘Jogakbo’ and its scientific interpretation with fractal geometry. She mainly uses silver, Keumboo (23.5ct gold foil), Korean braided cord and precious/semi-precious stones.

2. Liz Willis -
Liz uses silver & hand stitched silk threads to add layers of colour and texture to her work. Using found objects from mudlarking along the river Thames, she transforms everyday objects, such as old handmade pins and nails, into little pieces of wearable history.

3. Annabet Wyndham -
Annabet is a jeweller and a silversmith of small functional pieces. Her primary materials are silver and vitreous enamel, she also uses aero-ply plywood shaped and painted.

4. Cristina Zani -
Cristina’s work is inspired by the contrast between ancient and modern architecture of South Korea and is a reflection on its urban environment and geometries. She uses wood that’s combined with different metals to echo the sombre modern buildings intertwined with colourful and ancient wooden temples and palaces.

1. Cara Tonkin -
Cara designs unique, bold and timeless jewellery, her pieces come to life when worn; intricate, playful and tactile yet expressing glamour and elegance.

2. Catherine Tutt -
Catherine’s silver, gold and diamond jewellery is inspired by nature. She incorporates surface textures and elements of movement. The handmade flattened chain work, textured surfaces, uneven flattened shapes form asymmetrical necklaces and bracelets.

3. DeeLyn Walsh -
DeeLyn’s bold architectural inspired jewellery designs are explored through geometric patterns and repetitive rhythmical forms. Her work is predominately sterling silver, but with the most recent collection has begun adding gold detail through Keum Boo and plating.

4. Penny Warren -
Colourful contemporary jewellery in hand-printed anodised aluminium and silver. Characterised by simplicity of shape with an emphasis on pattern, and surface texture.

1. Mariko Sumioka -
Tokyo-based artist, Mariko creates culptural jewellery evocative of both East and West. Her inspiration is deeply rooted in Japanese architecture and Zen principles. At Edinburgh College of Art, she developed her unique abstract aesthetic with a collaging approach that is an essential part of her creative process, along with a love for beautifully crafted details.

2. Jane Sedgwick -
Jane makes bold and playful mixed-media jewellery, using sustainably sourced wood and textiles. Fascinated with how historical and domestic objects are made, Jane researches traditional craft technologies, which she combines with a contemporary aesthetic.

3. Mizuki Takahashi -
Mizuki is a contemporary jewellery artist who works with a monochrome colour pallet using contrasting enamelled elements and oxidised silver.

4.
Kaz Robertson
Working mainly with resin, Kaz produces pieces by combining a bold colour palate with pattern. Setting magnets within the resin provides a way of changing each piece easily. Ring tops can be swapped, bangles stick together and neckpieces interconnect.

1. Pikaya Jewellery -
Pinar Kaya De Biasio designs and hand-makes contemporary jewellery from her London studio. Characterised by clean lines and unique textures, she has a passion for metal work and simple geometric forms.

2. Sarah Packington -
Sarah has been designing and making acrylic and silver jewellery for over 30 years. Sarah plays with the properties of clear dyed acrylic; light, reflection and strong colour. She manipulates the surface using etching, sanding, dying and polishing, creating unique, fun jewellery that’s a pleasure to wear. .packington.jewellery

3. Helen Rankin -
Inspired by modern architecture, geometric decorative features and repetitive pattern found in textiles and tiles, Helen's jewellery exudes modernity and simplicity.

4. Anna Opher -
Anna makes jewellery that is simple and wearable with a distinctive style. It is handmade, with a strong emphasis on texture, which is achieved through reticulation, hammering and molten granules.

1. Caitlin Murphy -
Caitlin creates art and wearable art that is centred around high levels of accuracy and precision. Woven and folded thin precious and non-precious metals are attached to steel and silver frames. This allows Caitlin’s woven jewellery to come to life with a focus on colour and illusion.

2. Rentaro Nishimura -
Rentaro’s work draws on principles of origami and repeat modular forms. Using the latest digital technology of 3D printers and laser-cutting his work bridges the gap between craft and technology.

3. Helen Noakes -
The focal point of Helen’s jewellery is her use of the miniature scale models, commonly used on model railways. Her beautifully executed work is hand crafted from precious metals and resin. Intriguingly tucked into each infinitely wearable piece is an element of humour making a second look a must for this exciting collection.

4. Poppy Norton -
Inspired by the aesthetics celebrated by the Bauhaus, Poppy’s Collection of statement jewellery follows a pared back, modernist approach to design. Clean lines, smooth surfaces and basic geometric shapes are applied using a bold scale to create precise, confident pieces that are designed to be noticed.

Dazzle Edinburgh 5 days to go…

1. Rhona McCallum -
Geology inspired jewellery collections combining finely forged silver and gold to create precious collages.

2. Heather McDermott -
Heather specialises in contemporary jewellery made using stainless steel and precious metal. She takes her inspiration from her island home, the Isle of Skye; Fisherman's nets, stacked creels and weathered buoys scatter the ever-changing shoreline.

3. Zsuzsi Morrison -
Zsuzsi creates one-off enamel, fine silver and 22ct gold pieces by hand. Using traditional enamelling techniques to express modern concepts, her work has a distinct avant-garde personal language.

4. Karen McMillan -
Influenced by a 1950’s and 1960‘s colour palette and the simplicity of Scandinavian design, her most recent work involves inlaying pattern or simple line details into resin, giving the impression of a continual line and form.

Dazzle Edinburgh exhibitor preview…

1. Lucy Martin -
Modern handcrafted jewellery that is characterised by graphic forms in which carefully balanced sequences of colour and texture are suspended. Her passion for unusual gemstones is always the starting point for her jewellery designs.

2. Francesca Marcenaro -
Inspired by fairy tales and nature, Francesca makes unusual pieces of Jewellery with her signature technique of “Glass Granulation”, a contemporary mix between the concept of granulation and enamelling that gives to the surface of most of her pieces a “soft”, unmistakable sparkle.

3. Beatrice Mayfield -
Beatrice is a London-based textile artist, who specialises in handcrafted, embellished textiles, merging tradition with contemporary design. Her textile work embeds heritage within the contemporary, blending traditional techniques and processes with the energy and language of abstract mark-making.

4. Lindsey Mann -
Lindsey creates playful jewellery from hand-printed anodised aluminium, precious and non-precious metals and a host of found and formed materials.

1. Lynne MacLachlan -
Sculptural, geometric jewellery that creates shimmering visual effects and is produced using cutting edge 3D printing technology alongside traditional craft skills. photo by

2. Jo Lavelle -
Jo’s distinctive style can be described as moveable, multi layered and wearable. A love of texture and movement are huge inspirations in Jo’s jewellery collections and her jewellery can be described as interactive, tactile, intricate and sculptural.

3. Rike Lenzing -
Rike is a German artist living in Cork, Ireland. Her pieces transform hand cut 2D paper strips into robust but weightless 3D paper structures, by using repetitive folding and braiding techniques.

4. Tina MacLeod -
Tactile pieces of jewellery evocative of Scotland’s dramatic West coast and distinctive Hebridean forests. By utilising precious metal techniques that produce delicate but deliberate layers of surface texture, she is able to convey a sense of the ephemeral nature of the living landscape. photo by

1. Rachel Larkins -
Rachel has been making jewellery and automata inspired by folklore and fairy tales for over twenty years. Working primarily in resin, brass and wood, often encapsulating imaginary scenes and figures which are hand modelled and painted.

2. Kokkino
Timelessly elegant pieces to elevate and brighten each and every day. Kokkino Uses sterling silver and adds colour using vitreous enamels, gemstones, gold and gold-plating.

3. Dagmar Korecki -
Dagmar’s delicate collections incorporate intricate hand piercing and are formed by fusing a multitude of miniature petals, which translate the abundance, fullness and beauty found in organic structures.

4. Latham & Neve -
For over 20 years creative duo Latham & Neve have been making jewellery. Their solid, Modernist design values, attention to detail and no nonsense approach to the function and performance of their simple, elegant work has kept them in the forefront of British jewellery.

Dazzle Edinburgh exhibitor preview…

1. Stephanie Johnson -
Inspired by the innovative use of materials by contemporary Japanese fashion and textile artists. Working mainly in Fairtrade silver and gold, these materials are wonderfully ductile and can be melted, fused, rolled, compressed and drawn out.

2. Naomi James -
Naomi uses leaves, plants and feathers to create textures on silver, combining these contrasting textures with details of gold and coloured semi-precious stones.

3. Emily Kidson -
Emily is known for her use of wood and laminate jewellery with precious metals. Sensitive use of colour is central to her work and is the backdrop to a minimal, modern aesthetic with areas of intricate detail.

Gail Klevan
Colourful, bold jewellery made from optical quality acrylic, and decorated with inks, foils and lustres, it takes inspiration from 1930’s Bakelite jewellery and 1950’s textiles.

1. Guy Howe Conners -
Guy creates bold, playful pieces - primarily in spray painted acrylic and silver. With an expressive use of colour and scale his work fuses visual motifs from the natural world with pop culture references and inspiration from his city surroundings.

2. Christina Hirst -
New to Dazzle, Christina creates jewellery inspired by nature, predominantly in precious metals but loves to combine it with different materials such as wood, lava, pearls and stones to create tactile pieces which are a joy to wear.

3. Kathryn Hinton -
Working from her Edinburgh Studio Kathryn designs and makes contemporary jewellery and silverware that explores geometric surfaces and faceted forms.

4. Gerlinde Huth -
Gerlinde’s work is inspired by structures, shapes and patterns in nature and architecture. Her collection of jewellery is made from Silver and Gold, hand fabricated and often etched to create intricate patterns on simple strong shapes.

1. Emmeline Hastings -
Inspired by patterns and movements of the natural world, Emmeline creates miniature, ethereal landscapes. Working in hand carved Perspex acrylic, Emmeline’s pieces are light and wearable.

2. Emily Higham -
Emily uses the process of enamelling to explore colour and pattern. Using the combination of vitreous enamel layered under industrial enamel, her jewellery aims to portray the beautiful colours and the aesthetical, fragile and organic quality beehives and honeycomb.

3. Elsiem Jewellery -
Lorraine Hitt is the designer & creator of Elsiem Jewellery, whose striking designs are inspired by simple modern architectural & sculptural forms, with an edge.

4. Becky Crow -
Illustrative jewellery individually made by hand from sheet silver and copper, 9ct gold and 24ct gold leaf.

1. Rings by Donna Barry -

2. Brooch by Isabella Bedlington -
Isabella creates timeless jewellery impacted by history and belief. Every piece is handcrafted in precious metals utilising the torus shape as her reoccurring motif. (photo by Shannon Tofts)

3. Brooch by Jessica Briggs -
Originally a textile designer, Jessica uses ombinations of patterned and textured silver, selectively fusing it with gold whilst often adding depth through part oxidation.

4. Pendant by Suzanne Claire -
Contemporary jewellery lovingly French knitted and crocheted by hand, her collections feature designs influenced by textile paraphernalia.

Dazzle Edinburgh is now only a few weeks away. We have a great show planned this year with 56 designers showing a stunning selection of contemporary jewellery in a wide range of materials and price points.
1. Brooch by Jane Adam -
Jane has been making jewellery for over forty years. She works with precious metals as well as aluminium, pushing and stretching them so that form and texture evolve as she works – a much more organic process which relies less on a predetermined outcome.

2. Pendant by Aillie Anderson -
dynamic, minimal jewellery and small-scale sculpture using a unique combination of distinctively textured, scored sterling silver and hand cast jesmonite. .silver

3. Brooch by Egle Banyte
Egle is an award winning jewellery designer and maker based in West Tyrone, Ireland. Her work focuses on the geometry of everyday life. Recognising that we are surrounded and yet often oblivious to geometry, my work aims at re-engaging its beholders with the mathematics of life, the patterns of the material world.

4. Earrings by Eve Balashova -
Eve creates striking statement jewellery using a combination of 3d printing and traditional hand skills. Her work is designed with ease of wear in mind as all pieces are very light and durable. Eve’s approach to making is a celebration of colour – she dyes each piece carefully by hand to create smooth, seamless transitions.

At Dazzle Edinburgh this year we have colourful knitwear by Anna Wheeler of

Cotswold Knit is knitwear designer Anna Wheeler’s own collection of luxury accessories, knitted in exquisite jacquard patterns, colours and textures. Anna uses the finest natural yarns to create distinctive scarves, hats and snoods, knitted in small batches in the UK.

Cotswold Knit is a slow fashion brand of artisan knitwear and accessories. Inspired by the seasonal colours of the British countryside, Cotswold Knit focuses on meticulous craftsmanship and playful creative design. All knits are crafted in the UK from natural fibres.

Alongside the jewellery at our Edinburgh Dazzle we will be showing limited edition etchings/drawings by Glasgow based artist Rachel Duckhouse.
is a visual artist working primarily in pen and ink drawing and etching. Through drawing she explores structures, rhythms and patterns found in different contexts, including landscape, architecture and the flow of water. She works with pen and ink drawing and etching, exploring the relationship between these two processes, and the relationship between the print workshop, her studio, and remembered exterior/interior landscapes.

Be prepared to be dazzled, the next sparkly additions from our guest designer series have arrived.

Francesca Marcenaro - Organic, tactile pieces using Francesca's signature “Glass Granulation”, a technique inspired by the ancient techniques of Granulation and Enamelling: making granulation with glass granules Francesca gives an unique and soft sparkle on the surface of her pieces.

Kathryn Hinton - explores geometric surfaces and faceted forms. She utilises the benefits of computer aided design combined with traditional handmaking to create simple stylish pieces that can be used or worn everyday.

A little update from Dazzle…

We wanted to let you know that unfortunately, due to some venue issues, there will be no London Dazzle this year. We know so many of you look forward to visiting each year and we are very sorry not to be able to have a physical exhibition. We do hope to be back with a bang next year when we find a suitable new home.

In other news we can confirm that we will be returning to Dovecot Studios next August for our annual Edinburgh exhibition. In the meantime you can still find many of our designers on Lovedazzle.com and we have some exciting guest designers coming soon that will be available especially for the festive season.

still gives you the opportunity to find those unique gifts for yourself or your loved ones this Christmas, all handmade by our talented maker family, there's a little something for everyone.
