enjoyed these roles, I have come to remember my true love, and so have returned my focus to making only! WHY 'COSTUME BY CLARE'? Having always been enthralled by theatre, TV and film productions, I became certain at a young age which path I would take. So, I trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance where I graduated from the Costume Production course in September 2012. As a result of my training, I have discovered the joy of watching an idea come alive, from initial design, through to the finished costume. I am always eager to learn new skills and stretch myself with disciplines I haven't practised yet. I love working with a designer to see their vision become reality. WHY 'CLOTHING BY CLARE' ON ETSY? While I am starting up my costume making business, I am going to support it with another smaller business on here. I love bright and pretty clothing, and I want to make for other people who like the same kind of styles as me. If it's 'Clothing by Clare', it's what I love to wear! :) So, if bright and pretty is your thing, then hopefully you'll find a few things that make you happy. I wanted 'Clothing by Clare' to be clearly separate from my main work in costume. Period costume is grand and often heavy, 'Clothing by Clare' is pretty and light, which is more who I am. For now, I have a line of summer skirts that are all handmade by me. I source my fabrics locally, and only choose patterns that I would love to wear (I do wear them, actually) and every skirt can be made in any fabric or style in the range. HOW TO GET IN CONTACT
