The annual Gloucestershire Pairs Challenge has raised over £7,200 for Parkinson's UK UK. The event at Cirencester Golf Club saw golf enthusiasts and supporters club together to raise vital funds to support those affected by Parkinson’s.
The Gloucestershire Pairs Challenge, a longstanding event now in its tenth year, raises funds from sponsors and players alike, who can make a donation in exchange for a hole on the course being dedicated to them.
Organiser Murdoch Frazer understands the importance of supporting such an important cause as a number of his peers have been diagnosed with the condition.
Murdoch said: “Before I began organising this event, I knew relatively little about how many people were affected by Parkinson’s. Since then, I have found that more and more friends and acquaintances have either been diagnosed with the condition or are related to those who have.
“This has only gone on to inspire me to raise as much as possible through the Gloucestershire Pairs Challenge for this worthy charity.”
The event will return in May 2024. If you're interested in supporting the event, please comment below.
