Project Linus UK - Inverness and Surrounds
We aim to provide a sense of security to children throughout the Highlands by donating quilts.
This is just to thank all our lovely volunteers who put their sewing and knitting skills to such good use, all of our quilts and blankets are donated to children here in The Highlands of Scotland š“ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó “ó æ. We also thank everyone who has donated fabric, threads, wadding, backing and money to help us make so many quilts this year. And a special Thank You to Alice Nicoll for being so helpful to us all and the unseen work she does behind the scenes. š«

I have just received this card in the post this morning.
It reads -
To all the ladies at Project Linus and especially the lady who made my beautiful blanket ( multicoloured, black border and spotty backing).
So much is taken and stolen from us. To be given such a beautiful colourful gift is truly wonderful. I have been in Refuge since May and every time I look at it , it gives me joy.
Thank you all, so meaningful, a very grateful woman in refuge. # #

We are appealing for more knitted baby blankets. There has been a big demand recently.
This pattern can be found on Project Linus U.K. website.
Blankets need to be 24inches square or larger.
I have also had a request for mitts and hats for nursery children (aged 2 to 5)
This is not part of Project Linus U.K. but if anyone would like to knit smaller items this would be a good project.

A very busy month. 91 quilts and blankets were donated this month.
We have donated to two new oulets - Young Carers in Skye and the Family Nursing Partnership. Xmas quilts have been donated to Connecting Young Carers Inverness. Other deliveries were to the Childrenās Ward Raigmore, SCBU, HALO, Merkinch Family Centre and The Shores.
