Explored three unique spaces today, each sparking insightful conversations on the various possibilities for garden transformation. 🌿
Professionalism, problem-solving and personalised guidance.
So proud of our unified team.
The team have returned to this Reigate garden to complete phase 2 of the landscaping.
Last year we completed phase 1 which was the back patio at the end of the garden and now we are installing some new fencing horizontal tongue and groove panels, a new porcelain path, patio near the house, raised bed, a new lawn with ground level beds, irrigation and a new gate.
There are a number of reasons that clients phase projects:
đź“ť Planning finances
đź“ť Waiting to see how the garden evolves and how they use the space
đź“ť Spreading out disturbance
đź“ť Time constraints
đź“ť Separating hard and soft landscaping parts of the project
đź“ť Letting areas settle after significant clearance
If you are considering planning your landscaping in phases, you may want to think about the following :
đź’ˇAccess: Your landscapers and their equipment will need to have access to your garden. So careful planning is needed to ensure that work on later phases does not damage earlier work.
💡Working with the seasons: Certain elements of work depend on seasons e.g. planting. You’ll also want to see how your new garden looks and feels through the different seasons. Therefore we recommend taking the time of year into account for each phase.
đź’ˇEquipment: You may need heavy equipment for each phase of the project. Hire costs may be bigger if you are bringing them onsite more than once, for each phase.
đź’ˇCommunication: Remember to keep your neighbours informed of potential timelines.
💡Future-proofing: If you’re not installing lighting or irrigation initially, we recommend placing conduit under hard landscaping to future-proof your project.

Our first blog post of January 2024.
January garden planning… may not be the first thought that comes into your mind when you look out onto your frosty garden. But hear us out!
Now that the trees are bare, the foliage has died away for the winter, and it’s all looking a bit bare, you can really see the structure of your garden. The shapes of your hard landscaping, the outlines of trees and shrubs, the condition of garden structures… even the natural flow through the garden. All are revealed when the planting has died back for the winter months. So it’s the perfect time to assess the shapes and structures of your garden and plan for the year ahead.
In this blog post, we'll delve into some of the landscape design considerations you can be making during January.
