So I received my delivery promptly as to my standards . It was perfectly wrapped to a standard that was exciting for me to open . The wool is so beautifully soft ( I have not knitted with Alpaca before ) , also a very clear knitting pattern for a ribbed hat with bobble !! which was all contained in a bag that will hold my wool while I knit . I have an item to complete first so hope to get this started in a couple of weeks . I have no doubt that I will be a returning customer & will gladly recommend . This was the first time I've knitted with alpaca yarn ,it was beautiful and very soft, a great pattern and very easy to follow, I am an experienced knitter. The only thing I did differently was, I put 6 buttons on which was my mistake, still looks good. You can use eyelets in any project to add a great look. They look hard, but actually they are very easy and quick. What about a couple of lines of eyelets a few rows above the ribbing of your sweater, both on the main body, and on the arms. Here we show you how to do them and you can see them used differently in a shawl and a scarf.

Purchased alpaca bird nesting fleece which arrived promptly within a couple of days. I was surprised at how big the bag of fleece was and only initially needed a small amount to fill my feeder. I loved it so much I put some in my hedgehog box, although the jury is still out on whether they like it to! Wish I'd bought it earlier on in the year. Recommended

Look our Southwold Tank Top in Brighton. Maybe we should take the Tank to as many pebbled beaches as we can. Ooh...off to Aldeburgh this week and that is mega pebbly! Meanwhile, this lightweight sleeveless vest uses DK alpaca wool, and is lovely to knit and straight forward. If you haven't picked up stitches round the armholes before, we've got a video guide to help you. Obvs available in over 20 colours too. We've only used one-colour for this, but do the same process but wind lots of colours round together and you'll get a fabulous rainbow tassle.

These bird feeders filled with alpaca fleece are loved by birds because they take away the fluff and line their nests with the warm dry alpaca fleece. Keith has made a lovely point that it also encourages more birds in the garden. Amaze!

I love this colour choice of speckledy red and grey in DK Alpaca wool. We don't sell much of this shade of grey, so it's nice to see how well it looks...
