Produced in Calabria, using only the best Carolea variety olives, Tenute Cristiano range grows with three new additions of flavoured oil: sweet IGP Red Onions from Tropea, Mediterranean Herbs, and Bergamot.⁠

Tropea red onions are known for their mild flavour and sweetness, making this extra virgin olive oil a great companion to antipasti, roasted dishes and sauces. ⁠

Mediterranean Herbs blends freshly picked basil, thyme and mint, and is perfect to add on roasted meat, grilled vegetables, bruschetta or pizza. ⁠

Bergamot combines the citrusy taste of bergamot with the richness of extra virgin olive oil. A couple of drops on grilled seafood, pasta recipes, or gelato can create something quite special.

At the heart of many of our products lies a deep connection to old traditions and methods that have been passed down through generations. These practices have become like rituals, passionately repeated day in and day out.⁠

One product that exemplifies this dedication is Armatore Colatura di Alici, an extraordinary anchovy extract. Sourced exclusively during the spring season by the skilled fishing boats of Cetara on the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, their anchovies are swiftly processed within hours of being caught. ⁠

With meticulous care, they are arranged in layers inside chestnut barrels, alternating with layers of sea salt. This patient maturation process can range anywhere from 18 to 30 months, allowing the flavours to develop and deepen.⁠

By simply adding a few drops of our Colatura di Alici, you can elevate a classic bruschetta with tomatoes and creamy burrata cheese. Infusing linguine with clams takes on a new dimension of taste and complexity. Even a refreshing summer salad featuring avocado and delicate salmon can be taken to the next level with the addition of this anchovy extract.⁠

From Umbria meet Terre di Grifonetto, our latest addition of extra virgin olive oil producer.⁠

Terre di Grifonetto is a female run family business, rooted in the hilly landscape near Lake Trasimeno, in the heart of Umbria, Italy. Led by Angelica Pistelli and her mother, Francesca Romana Cassano, the oil they produce has a legacy in the landscape of over 400 years: a modern company which continues an ancient tradition of nurturing and maintaining the land using sustainable and environmentally committed principles. ⁠

The single varietal, Dolce Agogia, has notes of fresh grass and lettuce, is soft and restrained while delivering a final spicy, almond tinged flavour, which makes it an ideal and sophisticated finishing oil. ⁠

What is your take on nougat? A seasonal occurrence, or a daily necessity? ⁠

We recently introduced Dolcital in our range, a company that has produced soft and hard nougat for over a 100 years.⁠

Long and slow is the cooking time of the nougat dough, that reaches the right consistency only thanks to an indirect steam heating process. After at least 6 hours the nougat dough is whipped and the sugar cloud is ready to be collected. For some products, the heating lasts even 13 hours. Time, patience and care are the key ingredients for the perfect sweetness! ⁠
