the workshop will be the same candle-making tutorial with a deeper focus on scent as a holistic experience. we’ll build a scent that’s truly for you, discovering what you like, what you don’t like and what smells mean to you!

hey folks, i’m going away for a few weeks on Sunday and while orders can still be posted out thanks to some very kind folk helping me - Saturday morning will be the last time I personally post out for a while so please get your treats ordered ✨

when i get back, there’s going to be some changes in terms how i’m able to run the business as i’ve gotten myself a new part-time role 😌 like many small businesses, it’s been quite hard to navigate the rising cost of every single part of my business while trying not to have a nervy b every two mins 🫠 and while i’m excited to start something new, i’ve had to rethink a lot Golden Hour-wise, and how to try and keep going. i love GH a lot and these changes will make my process just all the more special, i hope you think the same.

meanwhile, i’ve still got lots of candles still at a discounted price, i’ve got plenty of your favourite classics available and there’s now workshop dates available for May, June and July. thank you for your continued support, looking forward to sharing more with you soon 🥰

The other day, I was explaining the process of how I make my Golden Hour candles from it being an idea to them being on the shelf. It made me realise, or rather, remember - just how much work it takes to create a singular jar of these gorgeous little things 😅

From designing the scent and researching the oils, doing the maths to find the scent percentage for each size of candle, sticking the wicks down individually to making sure labels are even - every single step of Golden Hour candles and room sprays is done by me, by hand, for hours at a time.

There’s often times I feel like i’m not a true ✨maker✨ because my craft is making an individual thing, many times. But being mindful of my process gets rid of that mindset pretty quickly, thank god 😌

The purpose of this post wasn’t really to promote that I do these things although if it has helped give clarity on this, then that’s great! I’ve just been reflecting on Golden Hour and what my goals are going to be for the time ahead. I’m really proud of the process I have and it’s definitely going to be what i’m going to be focusing on even more this year.
