Remembrance takes many forms and means something different to everyone. Ahead of Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday this weekend, members of our RAF community have been sharing with us what Remembrance and the poppy means to them.

The Butterfly children have created some beautiful artwork to support their learning about Armistice Day.

Talking to young children about Remembrance Day teaches them about the significance of history and the importance of cherishing peace. It is an opportunity to educate and inspire, to foster a sense of gratitude, empathy, and respect for those who served and continue to serve.

RAFAKidz are extremely lucky to have been awarded over £250,000 by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, on behalf of the MOD's Armed Forces Families Fund this year.

The nurseries at Digby, Cranwell, Odiham and Medmenham will use the money to enhance their outdoor areas. The enhancements to our environments will greatly benefit the children who use our settings for many years to come.

The children at RAFAKidz Cranwell have loved exploring their new garden this week. The setting’s outdoor space has been enhanced with new play equipment and new all-weather shelters.

RAFAKidz provides an environment where children can develop their early literacy skills. We use the latest Department for Education guidance to help children develop excellent speaking and listening skills. We have a wide range of books and resources for children to enjoy.
